Thanks for your hard work on this build. I bought this tablet for my grandad, and the original Samsung ROM had too many bells and whistles combined with bloatware to be reliable for his purposes. Having CM13 on this device will make it much more usable for him (after a few tweaks, of course).

I am having some problems with the build, though. I have tried your latest UNOFFICIAL build, as well as the 20160821 NIGHTLY right from the CM site. In both cases, I cannot get LTE connectivity to work with the tablet (it works fine on stock). With the CM ROM, the tablet seems to connect to voice/text services just fine, but repeatedly connects then immediately disconnects from LTE data.

To help narrow down what is causing the problem, here are the steps to replicate:

Basic Info
Device: SM-T815Y
Stock ROM: Android 6.0.1 (T815YDVU2BPG5)
Service Provider: T-Mobile
Odin: Odin3 v3.11.2
Recovery: TWRP 3.0.0-1

Steps to Replicate
1. Boot into download mode on the tablet.
2. Flash clean stock ROM via Odin.
3. Reboot back into download mode.
4. Flash recovery via Odin.
5. Reboot into recovery.
6. Wipe cache/dalvik/data/internal storage partitions.
7. Transfer CM13 .zip to device internal storage.
8. Install CM13 .zip through recovery (script exits with success).
9. Reboot to system.
10. Allow apps to optimize then finish the first boot wizard.

Actual Behavior
At this point, the tablet shows that it has a basic telephony connection to T-Mobile (calls/text confirmed). However, it does not seem to be making any attempts to connect to LTE. Toggling "Airplane mode" off and then back on again via Quick Settings causes the tablet to finally begin to attempt to connect to LTE. These attempts result in failures, causing the little connectivity icon to quickly flash "LTE", then "!", then back to the standard connection icon, all within about a quarter of a second. This continues indefinitely until I turn airplane mode back on.

Expected Behavior
LTE connectivity is established automatically.

I have attached a LogCat dump of what occurs after I toggle airplane mode after first boot.

Any idea about what's going on? Let me know if you need any more info.

I am really so stuck!

I dont want complain, but I have reached a point of moral exhaustion with Samsung that is starting to take me to the idea of abandoning the brand forever. I have already had a streak of bad purchases and poor quality issues with several Samsung hardware in the past, and to say their repair centers are basically a waste of time, is an understatement. They do anything possible not to honor any warranties.

But that is the past and now, the present as it stands is that I am yet to use my Tab S2 T-815 because its still under 5.01 stock TouchWiz lollipop, and there is NO firmware upgrade path to Marshmallow. I bought the tab under the assumption to update it directly to CM 6.01, ONLY to find out I get told that I cant do the update unless my unit is already running stock Samsung 6.01 also to start with.

Folks, believe it or not Samsung is STILL not releasing stock 6.01 for my Hong Kong purchased Tab (version T-815C), only Lollipop updates. Ironically, Hong Kong was one of the very first locations where the Tab S2 line was first available for retail when it was launched and now, they dont even care to get it updated. Even the much older, original Tab S is already getting Marshmallow!!! But the S2 NOT! I really cant believe this neglect and lack of support. Its unacceptable.

Id like to recap and confirm if it is INDEED true that I CAN'T jump into this CM 60.1 ROM unless I am already on Marshmallow? Or is there a workaround and way to do it? The weeks and months are passing by and I am totally stuck with a Tab on Lollipop that cant get upgraded. If I had known about this, of course I would have NEVER bought the Tab. In my wildest dreams, Samsung would NOT update a current model hardware. This is inadmissible. I am so sick and tired this situation, I cant describe anymore. My frustration and disgust at Samsung has reached overboard levels.

Anyway, thanks for any advice or ideas on what I can try to do to get my Tab flashed and going with CM 6.01. There's gotta be away. Thanks again for the input and thumbs up to the developers for this ROM I cant wait to get my hand on:)

Robotic voice on phone calls (both directions), sometimes no voice at all. Hence phone is not usable. Tested with wired headset and bluetooth headset and speaker.
When chosing call redirection, the mobile network crashes and cant be established whymore - reboot needed.
Nevertheless, Rom runs very well.

One more observation for this ROM. After flashing this ROM, the microphone or bluetooth work only in the very first call. Any call after that microphone is switch to very low sensitivity. I could occasionally raise the sensitivity with programs like 'Microphone' from Google App Store, but it didn't last longer than one call, and I can't reliably repeat even that.

Following up after installing latest nightly build.
The problem with microphone still exists. However, if during the the call I switch microphone off and on several times within first 14..16 seconds of the call, it starts working. It can't be used as a practical workaround, but it's a clue.

First of all, thanks for the hard work, I was gonna flash this via TWRP3.0.0-0 recovery on T815, however it failed, it told me it succeed in the recovery, but after clear cache, reboot will stuck at the first screen, on the left corner it said that"KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING " ,anyways it can't boot. I'm currently using T815C stock rom(China Mainland version) on Android 5.0.2. please check, thx

I assume it's related to bootloader . This ROM support MM bootloader.

Nobody can fix that problem. You can't use TWRP to flash ANY 6.0 or higher version ROM on ANY S2 version running Android 5.*. You MUST ALWAYS use Odin to flash a STOCK MM ROM before you can flash any other ROM via TWRP.

No, as far as i know. You need to have original MM installed before flashing this CM13
Then do you know how can I get my T815C 5.0.2 into T815 6.0.1
I've tried odin flashing, but it failed
That's my FAQ thread, you may check if you're spare http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-s2/help/how-t815cchina-mainland-version-install-t3478339
thanks a lot for helping!

The only reason I've heard for the Odin install to fail is that a full wipe wasn't done prior the using Odin. I've successfully installed several version from other countries on my T810 and T710 models but, of course, not having a China version to test, I can't guarantee one can be installed on your model. But I DO know that you can't install anything else until you do.

Also, I think the wipe must be done via the Samsung recovery rather than through TWRP. Turn the tablet off, disconnect the cable, and then hold vol down, home and power. As soon as a screen appears, release the buttons and press vol up. That should give you a menu with the wipe options.

Thanks for the explaination, I've basically tried the exact same steps as you told, I found a rom with BL,AP,CSC,CP,and pit file in BTU version, trying to flash it with Odin BUT it fails everytime because of Re-partition operation failed, after a little bit of research, I'm thinking maybe it's a kind of restriction or lock added by the officals, so, do you know how to deal with that, or if there're some other problems, again, thanks for the help!

In Odin, on the left hand side of the screen, there is an "Options" button. Click it and make sure the "Re-Partition" box is unchecked.

It's almost November 2016 and the T815C that Samsung sells all over the largest part of the Asian market worth more than 1..4 billion potential customers at a premium price/premium device and as the current model is still is on Lollipop 5.0.2 with no estimate WHAT SO EVER TO GET UPGRADED TO ANYTHING PAST THAT. Samsung is quickly becoming the last brand to buy with the way they support their products and treat their customers.. and that's without mentioning exploding phones and endless other soap opera events to which customer support and post sales services are as fruitful as absolutely zilch. Really appalling..
