[Rom] [TCL S960/Alcatel - Idol x+] - Miui 8 Port - Unofficial (Updated 30/Jul/2016)

I bricked my idol x+ please help me i dont know what to do

Here are the files needed to install the TCL rom...

Install them using SP-Flash tool and you should be ok.
if you want to run MIUI8 - you need to do repartition, which requires additional steps and may cause brick...
Use the provided rom, and you can also replace the EBR1, EBR2 so the new partitions will be 1G instead of 750MB.
IF it fails, use the original EBR1, EBR2 files.

You can follow previous posts for unbricking...

- will you update MIUI 7 in the future?
- or will it be updated by MIUI developers?

I would like to use MIUI and I start to install MIUI 7, because MIUI 8 does not like me

Mini 7 is no longer being developed...
The last Miui 7 is what I released...
Miui 8 is being developed...
It took me a while to understand how to repartition, and once I managed, it enabled MIUI 8...
Which will have weekly updates...
Try to read about repartition... but on both forums, people do succeed to repartition using The files I provided, but different recovery, or using stock and so flash tools...

How to back up current ROM ? When I try to back up using ROM Manager or TWRP manager it simply rebooting to android system recovery <3e>.

installation of apps

after installation of miui 8 to my phone was successful there is 2 problems i received:
1. android play services has stopped keeps popping up and i fixed it by installing an updated one from the internet
2. installing an app takes a really REALLY long time(~10 min) but was able to install.(in google play it is stuck at 100%)

Use TWRP 2.8.7, it should work if you have enough room in your phone

but do you have a problem when entering audio in settings?
because my settings unfortunately stopped when entering it.

my previous reply seems to be unsuccessfully uploaded, so here's another one.
so the installation seems to be working now after giving it a day to settle(fixes itself :good: )
but now i have this problem where when i enter audio in sound settings it kicked me out saying "unfortunately, settings have......."
is this happening for everyone or is it only me?

No issue like that, are you on English language?
You May have issues on other languages... I didn't check them

On versions after Jul 14th I can't seem to get it running...
Something has changed...
Maybe I need to wait for a new kernel based on more recent Android...
So for now, no updates
