Re: [ROM[TeAm VeNuM]] AnTiVeNuM Rom v1 [MA6] [2-25-2013]

if you navigate to data folder, there is a eri.xml file. you can edit every spot that says sprint to say whatever yu want. that will change the name. if you just put a space it will delete the carrier branding.

it will also change the carrier name on lockscreen.

I also attached a folder which contains a blank eri.xml file. just push to data/ folder and fix permissions. then reboot... :)
Tks for this Josh! Extracted XML and pushed to data , fixed permissions, booted and no more Sprint. :)

@Venum Awesome rom bro!! Hanging out on this a while.

I've been running this ROM for the past couple of days and today I got a notification saying system update is available is this normal? I know if I download it it's going to fail but I was just curious to see if anyone else has received it.

Re: [ROM[TeAm VeNuM]] AnTiVeNuM Rom v1 [MA6] [2-25-2013]

Thanks Josh! I actually caught this myself after I posted the ROM... I noted it in the bug list... sorry about that everyone...

Update... I will update the op with Josh's quick fix (it does work just drop in data with root explorer etc and set permissions to owner read and write checked. And group and others read checked and reboot) when I get a chance, stuck in a blizzard at the moment. Sorry for the inconvience everyone...
Also if u want to completely remove carrier name from lock screen. Just go to system/CSC folder and delete customer.XML and reboot.

That should remove the carrier name from the tw lockscreen altogether.

Texas - Thanks for that reply. Another question - What about if your running stock recovery? From looking at the QBKing77 vids, you have to install stock recovery before flashing the MA6 update. If we haven't flashed the MA6 update yet, can we go straight to MB1 and still run a MA6 (or LJ7) ROM w/o issues? Thanks.

Caveat - Venum did say he used the zip file on Freeza's page and it flashed fine on his phone. He also noted that this ROM can be run on a phone w/ LJ7 modems, but signal strength is affected. I am just curious about this new update.

JC on freeza's page he has the ZIP's that you flash through CWM or TWRP at the top. Then's there a break and he explains that below that are the official OTA update's (what you flash through stock recovery. So A. If you are already rooted use the regular zips at the top (using CWM or TWRP) and B. If you are are NOT rooted use the OTA's below that in stock recovery. FYI took me 30 seconds to read all that in his thread lol... :D

Your last question, YES you can skip to MB1 and run any other Sprint S3 rom you want... having said that you MAY encounter signal issues or force closes if you have updated to MB1 and the rom is not MB1 (although MA6 will LIKELY run successfully on MB1 update). That's as simple as I can make it bro... Good luck flashing and let us know your results!!

Excuse me Sir Venum any chance I could get this with a stock kernel.. Or if you could shed some light on how to get all the Tonnz off it so i can try Freeza's kernel on it.. loving ecerything cept the kernel. Real nice status bar theme, that is the best themed signal bar I have seen to date

Venum - Lol...tracking...I got your comment about the 30 seconds it took you to read. I got the message. :D ;) I'm just going back and forth with doing the update to MA6 because my daily ROM is Odexed Blue and it runs great. I don't want to not lose my good experience with it by updating. Thanks for the info though...and yes, you made it simple. Thanks, brother.

Jcj77 what freeza posted was the firmware, which he sent to me and I'm fine. The update itself can't be flashed through custom recoveries

I was told the mb1 update was to address overheating and battery drain issues I guess some people were having.

You know you are the FIRST person that has mentioned the themed signal? Lol although understated it is by far my favorite themed part of the rom because it took me several months to figure out a "new" signal and about a minute to make... a eureka moment lol. Anyway thank you for the theme props! If freeza doesn't have a zip to flash for the kernel your talking about pm me the info on the kernel and Ill see what I can do... although i plan on updating this too MB1...:good::D

I ran a TW Rom for maybe a week then went on to Pacman Rom,I'm glad I gave this one a try its running smooth and stable. Some of the ringtones might give away your age man,the memories. Great Rom keep it up.
