Since this is just a system patch, I assume it will be compatible with C6902?

Thanks for your work, I love seeing development on this device that only seems to age better with every year.

I finally wanted to try your ROM, so I installed a fresh and clean pre-rooted ROM v14.6.A.1.236, then rebooted my device.
And I installed your ROM as described, but when the boot is done, the only thing I got is my background. No icons, nothing. I only see the real "desktop" for one second, then it disappeared.

Anything I am doing wrong, or is this because of a compatibility issue with the v14.6.A.1.236 ?

Try to flash it on .368 version ;)

Sorry I could not answer earlier, but yesterday I installed a not rooted ROM, so I had to re root everything to get a clean v.368

I finally just did it, then install your ROM and... same problem.... :crying:

I will continue to play a bit and see if I can find some solution...

[EDIT] I just flashed again the clean ROM and directly after your ROM, but still the same problem. I can only see my background. No icon at all. I can only reboot my device...

Here I am again.

I do not give up so easily. And I have some good news. Your ROM works on the v14.6.A.1.236 !!
But the way to get to this wasn't easily. This is all what I done:
  • Install all Zips at once from TWRP
  • Installed a Pre-Rooted Stock ROM v14.6.A.0.368 + DEODEX PATCH + dualrecovery v2.8.23 + SuperSU v2.46
Once my Z1 started, I setup everything to be sure everything was working.
Then I started with the second step, which was to upgrade to the v14.6.A.1.236. I used again the TWRP to do it:
  • Installed a Pre-Rooted Stock ROM v14.6.A.1.236 + DEODEX PATCH + dualrecovery v2.8.23 + SuperSU v2.46
  • After the first start. I installed the XposedInstaller 3.0 alpha4, and I rebooted the device so I could install xposed-v79-sdk22-arm
Finally, after another restart, I made a complete Backup, and then I tried to install your Desire ROM. And it worked!
I am not sure what exactly made it now works, but I suppose it can be the DEODEX Patch, since during my first test, this wasn't installed.

Well, now it works, and so far everything is perfect.
Maybe all this can help you or somebody with similar issues. :fingers-crossed:

Me again!

Since I was having some problems with Whatsapp and Skype (Camera wasn't working, but this was my fault...:silly:).

So I decided to do one good test to have a complete clean ROM.
So I decided to install under TWRP all zips needed in one time and it worked (I did a factory reset before the installation!).
Since all the files are not mine, I will mention the original file names (which I found on XDA).

This is how I installed everything and in this exact order:
  1. supersu_2.46_xzdr_2.8.21.patched_xposed_3.0.alpha4_v79.sdk22.arm_c6903_14.6.a.1.236_custom.de_1277-0154.r2d.zip
  2. [DEODEX] 14.6.A.1.236.zip
  3. Z1-lockeddualrecovery2.8.23-RELEASE.combined.zip
  4. UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
  5. [Z1][236]Superusermode.zip
  6. Desire ROM.zip
Once I rebooted, I set everything up and updated all the apps. I installed the " XposedInstaller_3.0_alpha4.apk ". I went to the recovery and installed " xposed-v79-sdk22-arm.zip ".
Restarted again to checked it worked.
Finally I went to the recovery once again to install the Soundmod " Project Desire 35.6.1 Birthday Edition.zip + Project Desire 36.V.L.U OTA.zip ".

I am testing all this since 24 hours, and so far everything is perfect.

If someone needs a file, I can try to find the correct link (or in worst case upload the file somewhere)

@PDesire: does your "ROM" do a downgrade? I am asking, because as I mentioned above, I installed the ROM v14.6.A.1.236, but now that yours is installed, my system says it has the v14.6.A.0.368. It is just a curiosity question ;)

No it doesn't downgrade, it shows them only because of the 368 build.prop :)

Do you like my mods?
