LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Installaion Guide:
  • Download latest build.
  • Reboot to TWRP and flash it like AEX.
  • Reboot, enjoy the rom.

Recommendation:
  • Once boot may got some warning messages about media, download this RECOVERY_RAMDISK.
  • Reboot to TWRP.
  • Flash it as Recovery Ramdisk and run factory reset and all those annoying errors will gone.

Kernel GPL:
  • I'm not violating any kind of license since my ROMs used the stock kernel come with Emui 8.x called kernel.img so all credits goes to Huawei.

Notes:
  • To fix distorting audio while playing media: open AudioFX and disable it.
  • Some features might result missed that's depend on LineageOS developments.

I can swear I cleaned thoroughly... does this ship with magisk?
Edit: the Magisk Manager app was installed when I flashed. I thought I wiped everything though.

Is Pie Controls (Swipe up etc) crashing one of the issues caused by Lineage? I read something about it days ago, but maybe it could be fixed now, are them working?

Have tested LA16 out, but its way too "naked" for me in direct compare to AOSPE6.1 or any other rom
Also the homescreen was crashing in a neverending loop, so i had to restart the phone.
When it booted up, crashing started again at the homescreen.

I thoght of installing it again, but when i cannot even set the qr bar to show up more than 3 tiles per row, why should i do.
As a groundbase LA16 maybe good, but i need customizations and in that point, its really not my taste.

But thanks for building it, maybe i will test again sometime.

1-) this rom still in developments like RROS.
2-) try factory reset with stock recovery should work better ;)

Tried (2) already, but it didn´t helped. Maybe the next version runs better for me. :cool:
But as i said, customization is really important for me. :angel:

excellent work for devices with hi6250

a problem the battery in stand mode is drained too much.

And another error is that when you connect the headphones and disconnect you run out of audio.
