Good ROM (using 18th July build), had some issues setting it up the first time. The ROM froze at "checking for updates" when I first flashed it. Before that, I installed a few Google apps via Aroma 8.1 GApps, but I got an error message (something error 11) before booting to system. I think that was the culprit.

I reflashed everything without errors and tried to set the ROM up again. This time I skipped WiFi setup and only enabled WiFi once I was in the ROM. Everything's working great so far. I flashed Magisk 16.7 as well. Even though Magisk doesn't seem to pass SafetyNet according to checker apps for some reason, I'm still able to use apps that depend on SafetyNet. I'm also able to hide root by hiding Magisk and toggling apps in Magisk Hide. So there's that.

Do your front and back cameras and flash work with the default camera app on this build?
Have you tried GCAM yet? If yes, which version?
I am currently using 7.9.9 from Arnova since the 8.1 doesn't work on my device.

S

The stock app doesn't for some reason. I tried UriKill's latest one and flash works as long as manually enable it. Dunno why it won't work automatically.

Front and rear camera work in UriKill's latest port. Flash also works in video if you enable it.

EDIT: if anyone wants to play Fortnite on Android, it totally works. And it works well on this device. Low settings though.

Here's what I did:

WARNING: you may get banned for this. So don't use your actual account. Also Epic is constantly patching the game so I expect this method will stop working at some point

-Flash Magisk 16.7
-Hide Magisk in Magisk Settings
-Enable Magisk Core Only Mode
-Download Fortnite_com.epicgames.fortnite-5.2.0-4276112.apk from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/port-fortnite-android-device-check-t3827258
Download Build Prop Editor from the Play Store

Change your device's build.prop entries to the following:

Code:
ro.product.model=SAMSUNG-SM-G930A
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=heroqlteuc
ro.product.device=heroqlteatt
ro.build.product=heroqlteatt
ro.product.manufacturer=samsung
If one of these doesn't show up, add it by pressing +New

Reboot device. Now open Fortnite. If it asks you to update, let it update. Download the installer and update. You'll have to delete the old .apk first. That's fine, just do it. Turn off any VPN you have running in the background.

Let Fortnite download, then login. Now it should take you straight to the lobby. If you get any errors, just reboot your phone and try again. Eventually you'll make it to the balloon drop and you'll drop to the map. Everything should work and your phone shouldn't heat up too much, if at all. If you play a lot I expect the device will heat up a lot. So invest in a good controller and cooling pad.

Hello,
To be honest I have got no clue. I am posting about the camera in the hope that the maintainer reads this thread and we get a fix.
Hi. Is the maintainer aware of the camera not working after august updates? Is there a workaround?
Heyyo, can you please try rebooting? Sometimes there's a race condition with camera server during device boot.

If rebooting doesn't fix it, can you please both get logcat?

Please flash the latest build and after that flash this boot.img and try again.
Hello Codeworkx,
You are the man! It now works.
Method used.
Flashed latest LOS 15.1. Clear cache.
Test camera: not work.
Reboot and test camera: not work.
Flashed your boot.img : now camera works.

1 noob question. Do we need to flash your special boot image after every lineage update or is it one time?

Thanks mate.
Cheers.

So I set the phone up for my mom and gave it to her to use. Just a few minutes ago, she unplugged the phone from the charger (she's using the cable that came with the LeEco Le2), and the phone booted straight into recovery mode and was stuck there for a while. Even when I pressed "system" in TWRP's reboot options the phone continued booting into TWRP. This happened a couple of times until it finally booted into LOS.

Any ideas on how this could happen?

I am currently using Anker Powerport+1 charger and BlitzWolf AmpCore BW-TC5 charging cable.
Been using this charging setup for about 3 months now.
I do not let it charge above 85% though.
Using LOS 15.1 latest build + Codeworkx special boot.img.
I will flash again once the new LOS is released.
I don't shut down the phone to charge.

Did you shut down yours while charging?

Yeah, maybe I should make her use a different, better cable. But she uses the same cable with her Le 2 and it's never given her any issues.

I always charge my x722 to 100% and it's never given me problems. I keep it plugged in all the time too. And I don't shut the phone down, ever. I'm just curious as to how something like this could happen... guess it's time to install Logcat Reader or something.

In the past I had the this issue from time to time as well. I can't remember that I ever had it with version 2018-07-17. Now with the latest build 2018-08-21 the device is always shut down after charging it during the night. As far as I remember, there were some changes to the power options between these builds. But I'm just guessing.
