Could be a hardware problem. Maybe the connector in your smartphone has a bad connection. If you try to install a different ROM maybe that will work. If not, try to clean the connector.

The device is only a few months old and has been kept in a very clean environment. I cleaned out the port with an xacto knife, toothpick, alcohol swab and finally high pressure compressed air and it changed nothing. So far the only cable that actually fits in the device without falling out is the one it came with. Baseus, Anker, Aukey, LG and Nintendo Type C cables all fail to stay connected. Looking at the inside of the official cable, it seems to be built differently than normal cables. The pin out is the same of course, but the distance from the tip to the pins is longer. This seems to make it so their cable slides in fully and makes a perfect connection, while all other cables don't fit properly due to the connection being closer to the tip. The cables just fall out because they aren't going deep enough. No idea how to fix this and to me it seems like a pathetic form of cable DRM to get you to keep buying the official cables because others just don't work properly.

Edit: My device was defective. Adhesive seeped into the slot during manufacturing making the port much more shallow. After scraping it out, cables work perfectly.

I have a dozen type c cables from other devices...no problems at all and everything works perfectly as expected. My wife's phone (also a pro3) same...I think there's some problem with your phone. If you still have the warranty you'd better ask if it can be replaced or anything like that but I dont think dissecting cables is going to be of great help. Just my 2 cents...

I appreciate the insight, I just feel kinda lost is all. The cable does truly look different on the inside for me, but it might just be due to the inside of the cable being white instead of the traditional black. I bought the phone from China unfortunately as they were the only place that stocked the 6 GB RAM version (that would ship to my country) so I doubt there's any kind of warranty. Sorry if my previous comments seemed heated, wasn't my intention. Genuinely appreciate the help I've received so far :)

Edit: I feel like such a fool. I genuinely did clean out the port with all sorts of tools. However, after cleaning it and being further dismayed, I took a flashlight to the slot and took a real close look at it. And I discovered there was some kind of solidified slime in there, almost like someone blew their nose in there. I've had problems with cables since day one so I'm going to assume it was too much adhesive that seeped into the port during manufacturing. I took the xacto knife and scraped all that stuff out of there. I really hope that I didn't scrape up any of the pins on the connector, but now the Baseus charger fits perfectly. Haven't tried others but I will update my previous comment to reflect my changes!

Is anybody else experiencing faster than normal battery drain on any builds after 20190109? That is the last build that I can make it more than a day without running out of power.

Ive also run into a weird issue with the Music app and bluetooth. My car now is showing the previous songs info instead of the current song. That is a recent change but Im not sure how far back because I wasnt paying enough attention to it.

Edit: So far I have tried to clear the caches and cleared Music's data.
Edit2: Restoring an older version of the Music app fixed the problem.

Heyyo, can any zl1/0 user please test this build for me?

lineage-15.1-20190207-UNOFFICIAL-zl1 contains A LOT of the stuff that has been worked on for LineageOS 16.0, backported to 15.1.

It also includes a fix by codeworkx for those that have lockscreen crashes sometimes after reboot.

Please test reboots for lockscreen working correctly, also please test CDLA, camera functions and daily use stuff.

How's your test going in this ROM my brother .. ???? You have something new or good about telling us about this ROM .. !!! regards

Well FYI Its a very good rom, in fact stellar!

Marc is attempting to resolve the lock screen issue and unfortunately for me that issue still exists. However, I think it may be possible that the issue is linked to Substratum...even built in Substratum on other roms.

Is in this build your ir emitter solution incorporated?
Why not put the changes directly onto the official lineage or AICP builds?

Don't know about the IR, but he is a known developer and the changes he did here are currently waiting for approval. If people here test this unofficial rom and no one find anything wrong with it, the changes will be pushed to the stable branch of LineageOS.

You could really help if you use his rom for a day and then report any findings!

In my case on a X722:
Camera: Working
CDLA: Working
Lockscreen after several reboots: Working
