[ROM][TW][7.1.1][J5 2015][Serenity] J5 16 Nougat port for J500F/FN/G/M [24/05/18]

I want to squeeze the last bit of performance out of this rom. So I am thinking about installing microg on it. But how do I remove the inbuilt gapps? Any ideas? Anyone?

Use the nandroid installer which automatically removes Gapps..
And before that don't forget to take a backup. :angel:

Thank for this ROM. Its a good alternative for my J500FN. Lot of free space, pretty fast, but eats more battery than my stock rom. The only 2 things Im missing are 1) Cannot switch between light and dark theme mode, 2) Theres no "Auto-rotation" settings to control rotation and force Landsape mode etc. :-/

Yes there is. Enable auto rotate. Turn phone to get into landscape mode. Deactivate auto rotate. Enjoy.

Uninstall any updates to gallery app (3dot menu in app info) and flash this zip in recovery.
After that, grant all permissions to CMH provider, clear data of Gallery and reboot.

Installation:

1. You should have 6.0.1 based firmware
2. Install Recovery with Support Aroma (TWRP latest Recovery)
3. Download the ROM (Fix, etc) and copy it to your sd card.
4. Enter in Recovery and make wipes (Recommended Full wipes)
5. After follow the instructions of the Aroma Installer
6. Select addons in aroma
7. Select your model in aroma.
8. Wait 10 to 20 minutes (First start of installation, slight delay)
9. Configure and enjoy the pure Nougat Stock ROM

Its been a long time since it was released, I guess its not compatible with your region/csc,
You can try another Nougat ROM or an older version and see if it works for you.
