A lot of people have been asking for a slimmed-down bloat-free Marshmallow ROM so here it is. This is not a bone stock ROM. The initial release v1.0 has just the basic and most requested mods. I am limited on time and am working on a N5/S7 port so this is what you get for initial release. If I have time I will add more features in the future. I'm going to try to make this OP short and straight to the point. If you appreciate my work please take the time to make a small donation. I do this for everyone for free and I enjoy doing it for you all. Please show me some love! It means a lot! Enjoy!

About ROM:
  • For the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910P
  • Software version: N910PVPU4DPE1
  • Samsung Touchwiz Marshmallow 6.0.1
  • Factory Samsung PE1 kernel
  • Root and SuperSU by Chainfire
  • Busybox

Features:
  • Fully odexed system with a hybrid odexed/deodexed framework
  • Removed/disabled Knox and Sprint Itson
  • Removed almost all Google apps (install what you want from Google Play Store)
  • Includes almost all factory installed Samsung apps (more can be installed from Galaxy apps or Google Play)
  • Include Sprint Zone app and Visual voicemail (use Sprint Zone app to install any Sprint sponsored apps and manage your Sprint account etc.)
  • Removed ALL additional bloat apps that normally get installed by default
  • All preinstalled apps have been updated as of 6/11/2016
  • No stock Samsung features/services where removed (I leave these things so that the phone is fully functional the way it should be.)
  • Native hotspot has been unlocked
  • 5-way reboot mod
  • High volume warning disabled (when using the 3.5mm headphone jack with ear buds, etc you will not get the annoying popup)
  • Xposed friendly framework (ofcourse there's no guarantees that Xposed modules will not cause problems with ANY rom)
  • CSC mods
  • In-call recording
  • added camera shutter sound option
  • Use camera during phone call
  • Added call/message blocking in settings (useful for when you're using hotspot and don't want incoming calls to disconnect it)
  • Silenced power on & off sounds (you can rename the boot animations and power on/off sounds in system/media folder. Remove "-OFF" from the file name to make them active)
  • Hulu and Netflix work upon flashing ROM (to use Google media streaming services etc you will have to rename system/vendor/lib/liboemcrypto-OFF.so to liboemcrypto.so)
  • I can't remember what else...

Instructions:
Important!!! Before flashing this ROM you MUST first update your software to N910PVPU4DPE1 either by taking the ota update on your phone or download the N910PVPU4DPE1 rom tar and flash it with Odin on your PC. No exceptions. Please backup your current files from storage/sd card if you choose and/or make a nandroid backup with current TWRP. Do not post asking for help if you flashed this ROM without first updating your firmware to N910PVPU4DPE1. Also, DO NOT flash this rom on your Sprint N4 if you are using it on a different carrier!!! I do not support this ROM for use other than the Sprint Note 4 on the Sprint network. Period. You are on your own if you choose to flash this ROM to be used on any other device OR carrier.
Steps for success:
***Once you do the above requirement, follow these steps***

Preliminary steps:
*First update to PE1 software/firmware as mentioned above.
*Next, LET YOUR PHONE BOOT UP COMPLETELY with the new PE1 software and verify that your phone is activated correctly and data and calls work as they should. This is very important!!!
*Next download the latest odin flashable TWRP from HERE and save the tar on your PC.
*Download and install Odin 3.10.6 or newer on your PC. (Search for it here on XDA)
*Reboot your phone to download mode by powering off your phone then press and hold the power button, volume down and home buttons at the same time until your phone vibrates and shows the Download mode screen. Follow the instruction on the screen to continue to the next screen.
*Next launch Odin and connect your phone to the usb cable connected to your PC and make sure it says "added" in the left pane of Odin.
*Keep the phone IN YOUR HAND and click on the "AP" button to add the TWRP tar to be flashed then go ahead and press "Start" to flash TWRP. It flashes pretty quick.
*As soon as you see "PASS" in green in the upper left corner of Odin immediately press on hold power, volume up and home buttons so that your phone reboots straight to TWRP. If you're late then either quickly pull the battery OR quickly hold power, volume down and home button until the phone vibrates and reboots again. When you feel the phone vibrate, quickly press the three buttons HOME, VOLUME UP and POWER to reboot to recovery or simply pull the battery if you can't get the hang of it. The important thing is to not let the phone reboot to the os because it can overwrite TWRP and replace the stock recovery. If that happens repeat all of these steps again.
*Once your in TWRP read the important message in red on the center of the screen and go ahead and swipe to ALLOW modifications. You can't install ota updates when running custom roms anyway so allow TWRP to modify the system so that recovery can't be replaced by the stock system.
*This concludes initial steps to install TWRP. :D

Final steps:
1. Download the ROM from the link at the bottom of this post (verify the MD5!!!) and place the zip on your phone's internal storage or sd-card.
2. Backup your current files from if you choose and/or make a nandroid backup with TWRP.
3. Reboot to TWRP recovery and do a factory reset, wipe cache, dalvic-cache, system and data a few times each.
4. Flash the rom zip and let it do it's thing. When flash is finished you will be prompted to reboot your phone.
5. Reboot system and it will do one quick reboot to install the root img created by the root package during flash. The next boot cycle will show the boot animation.
6. The phone will fully boot in exactly 3 minutes from the the boot animation.
7. Proceed with setup wizard and you're done! :victory:
***Incase you lose root due to installing a security patch or doing a factory reset, etc, just reboot to recovery and flash BETA-SuperSU-v2.74-2-20160519174328.zip which will be located on the root of your internal sdcard. I put it there for convenience. It is the exact same version used in the rom zip***[/SIZE][/B]

This post will contain mods, etc in the future but for now this is what i have to say about using Xposed with this ROM.

I just wanted to give my thoughts on xposed modules. I can only assume that any version of xposed and/or modules that contain the same mods which are already included in this rom WILL conflict with one another. I'm sure that is the reason for the quirks with the 5 way reboot menu. It is hard coded into this rom so no need to use xposed modules that have any sort of reboot mod or high volume warning mod. Try to stick with Xposed/modules that do not include these mods and you should have no problems. You can also request for versions of xposed/modules that don't have reboot mod and that would solve the issue too. You have to understand that with mods and roms it's either one or the other.... run a modded rom or run xposed on a "stockish" rom. If you run xposed along with a custom modded rom you are bound to run into major conflicts with similar mods. so keep this in mind.

With this said, I do welcome feedback and suggestions for mods, etc. This rom can and will be a custom rom unlike my other stock roms which I do not intend to modify. I will do what i can as time permits.

(This PE1 hotspot mod is made to work on both stock odexed and deodexed roms for their corresponding PE1 software version. The installer script will automatically handle everything, just flash and reboot and you're done)
Note: This stand-alone hotspot mod is intended for stock roms ONLY!!! If you flash this rom or any custom rom that has a modified services.jar, it WILL break the other mods in services.jar, such as reboot mod, etc. Check with the rom dev for details on specific mods used in their roms before flashing my hotspot mod by itself. In any case, this stand-alone hotspot mod will work fine on any custom PE1 TW roms however you would simply be without the custom mods that where originally included in the rom.

  • Private Mode Fix for N910PVPU4DPE1 may also be used on previous MM software beginning with software version PC1. NOT needed for this ROM. It's already included.
DO NOT use on Lollipop or earlier software!

So I see your working on a Sprint N5/S7 rom sounds like what i've been looking for, the Dr Ketans Rom just didn't do it for me but if it's not to much to ask could you implement the 3minitbattery mod in your N5/S7 rom would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance

I can also confirm, 5-way reboot not working when long pressing the power key but everything else seems to be working so far; I've only been working with the rom for a good 10 min so far.

Never mind, I just rebooted and tried again, 5-way is working now. Before when I pressed restart I was prompted to confirm now I'm getting the 5-way.

You noted your working on a N5/S7 port. Was wondering if it was going to be like an updated one of your Note5 Port or more like your MOAR rom? Just wondering and anticipating its arrival. :D Thanks!

Well i have been working on 3 versions, none of which are ready. A stock N5 MM port, A stock N5/S7 port and a N5/S7 MOAR 3.3 rom which is not ready. It is very dificult to get two softwares merged into one and have it work on a completely different piece of hardware/architecture like our N4. That and the fact that this takes a LOT of time to do it properly. My spare time comes and goes but i try to work on the rom a little each night. My main focus as i type this is to complete the N5/S7 MOAR 3.3 port. If i succeed it will be uploaded for testing with my team. If i can't get it ready for testing and unable to fix network connectivity then I will have to abandon the projects. I have seen reports that using the Lollipop kernel will make network connect but I'm not going to use a Lollipop kernel when we have an official MM kernel that should work just fine. These are my thoghts about my port roms as of right now. It's a lot of work for one person but i have done a lot and made huge progress. The main problem with the stock ports is network connectivity which very well could be due to oversight with modifications/port process on my part. i have to go back and recheck everything again and again which takes a lot of time in order to be thorough and not miss something. With this all being said, I do have a 100% functional N5/S7 port with the exception of network connectivity. I have been running it on my dev N4 with no problems, it runs beautifully but doesn't connect to sprint network for some reason. It has to be something simple that i have missed. CSC files etc are all done and I believe the problem is in framework which i am in the process of porting AGAIN from the N5 MOAR 3.3 rom and the S7 edge rom for sprint. Hopefully i have better luck this time.

Copy 7 files su/bin folder and paste to system/xbin....this wil make the root access possible
This tells me that ES File Explorer uses the xbin folder for su which is where it should look. I will probably need to update sym links because apparently the SuperSU install didn't add these important sym links for sbin and xbin or else it shgould work just fine. I assumed that it would have added them. apparently not. I may update this rom to patch sdcard permissions and this root issue as well unless i decide to build a new rom from the new PE2 update. These monthly security patches are becoming a nuisance for us building custom roms. lol.

thank you @tx_dbs_tx nice work, but i use french language, and sprint roms and your custom roms doesn't include french, any way to add it without using language enabler from play store cause this application don't translate menu and settings just applications?
To add french and other languages requires rebuilding framework, systemui and a few other apk's. I would have to add a LOT of additional language strings to many system apk's and this is more work than i'm willing to do for very few people. My advice is to flash a international cdma or gsm rom for the N4 onto your phone so you will have the additional languages. Adding languages is more indepth than i had previously thought. Sorry.

You are the friggin man TX!!! How and where do I go to donate? I can't seem to find a link.
My donation link is below my avatar on any post i make. you can also find the donate link by clicking on my avatar. It will take you to my profile page and the donate link is there too. Thank you.

Yes i can easily add these features once i get my base port rom finished. I may port MOAR ROM again. i will need to talk to tdunham and see where he is hith the MOAR ROM. No guarantees. It depends on my time and how things go with this base port. If i feel the port is amazing and virtually bug-free then i will consider porting MOAR again. If i don't think the port is going to be as perfect as I expect then i will not port MOAR. I will keep you all posted as i know more.
