Well whaddya know! After installing this rom I booted to recovery and it's TWRP 2.6.0.0! It stuck. Nice.
*edit* Updating to 2.8.1.0 gave me a black screen again so I guess it's back to 2.6.0.0
*edit2* I booted to system again and installed TWRP 2.6.0.0 again and it stuck again. Guess I'll stick with that for now...
*edit3* 2.7.1.0 is ok too.
*final edit* I went through all the versions from 2.7.1.0 to 2.8.1.0 and they all worked except 2.8.1.0, so the latest working version for me is 2.8.0.1!

hummmm....

better way is:

From a fastboot flashed cm11 (yeah KK) boot.img (or if u already are on a cm11/or based rom with working recovery)
u boot into recovery
make a nandbackup
wipe data factory reset+wipe cache partition+wipe dalvik cache
flash rom+gapps
reboot
let settle
reboot once again...

I am confused that sometimes TWRP ist flashed with Zip (Omnirom) sometimes not.


Any idea why GPS not running while same platform as Z and ZL ?

I've been enjoying playing with this, something I noticed not working besides sound is the microphone and bluetooth. I have a guitar tuner app and it said it couldn't connect to microphone. I also tried sending a file to the tablet via Bluetooth and it failed. The tablet didn't detect any devices either. Also I tried to play several videos on YouTube and it said it couldn't play.

no i have no idea why gps don't work but as its an initial release, next build i will include fixes; the recovery is included in kernel (boot.img)
on my roms for now its cm recovery wich is broken for all models as mentionned earlier
its included in kernel, except when u flash it into fota partition.

Cheers! It's still hella smooth with all my apps installed. I took a risk and restored data from my Pacman backup and it worked, so all accounts have their apps and settings! I just removed incompatible apps like themes and xposed and adjusted some settings. Something that I didn't expect was I had previously set navbar height on main account to 0dpi and it's still hidden. Also I set a lockscreen wallpaper which is still there, so I guess the option is hidden away in the code somewhere, even though I used theme manager to set the lockscreen wall on Pac. For the other accounts I've hidden navbar with expanded desktop (hid navbar only on all apps). We all like LMT pie!
Thanks again for all your help yesterday. If I'd realised installing an older TWRP would have fixed my recovery (one version earlier in fact) I could have avoided flashing stock! But had a nice clean start at least.

no its not hidden somewhere in code, its just not added yet, so yeah u restore lets say lockscreen wall , but if u wanna change it back to stock u f*cked loll these are such features being added slowly

Seems that the 5.02 Rom an Code from "qsnc" is the best at this time. Only GPS does not run...

Hope the devs help each other to make togehter the best Code to make run all the Hardware in TabletZ. Hopefully HDMI will also run in Future...

BTW as its booting and working perfect on my Yuga (Z), and so for Odin (ZL) wich are same platform....means same kernel sources "fusion3" i don't see why its not gonna work...

I think that is correkt for SGP321 LTE but not really for SGP311 pollux_windy ?!

Try install TWRP 2.8.0.1 (anything more recent will break recovery but you can reinstall 2.8.0.1) using fota install method, worked for me. I think sound and media playback is broken for everyone at the moment.

Sound will be fixed on next update, also, CM theme engine is merged...update is started, will provide a build maybe tomorrow =)
