okay so, as we all know stable build is 03-05 of Validus, i felt like i should try help here a little, i went on a tinkering mission and thanks to the CM12 thread, i have found fixes for the following, all credits to OPs and devs i am only trying to make it easier for us to fix this on Validus till dev does it, OP, feel free to remove if inappropriate, i take no credits or responsibility for your device if this did not work so make sure you have a twrp backup ready, i pulled this off my D6603 with Validus, and have tested this on 03-05 build.

1. Brightness fix (screen goes dark under thermal pressure), replace thermanager.xml into /system/etc and change permissions to --rw-r-r and reboot ==> https://www.dropbox.com/s/xrmej8ksuvjf91o/thermanager.xml?dl=0

2. Loudspeaker/mic fix - mixerpaths.xml into system/etc and change permissions to --rw-r-r and reboot ==> https://www.dropbox.com/s/pcppp13wx7m1jm1/mixer_paths.xml?dl=0

3. slow charging fix, install device control and go under fastcharge - enable level 2 (custom ma on USB and AC) working with M5 kernel==> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.namelessrom.devicecontrol

4. fix random reboots, head over to testing and flash latest test build of M5 kernel, he has fixed the mp_decision error, http://testing.myself5.de/

Hope this works for you as it did for me :) now only the call delay to go..
Hey my charge results are really bad.. even tho I tried what you said!

HUH :(

Hmm odd, if i go check my flow, its at 960ma, which is near stock results, on stock i pull 1050. So it takes just like 5min longer to charge, maybe something is pulling ur battery?
hmm..I mean It charge great on stock rom! But I like the Validus rom so much...but the charge-time is that bad that I have no choice than go back to stock for now..I tried so much.. :crying:

Same issue here!
Would be awesome with like a kernel tweaker, that you can tweak charge and cpu etc.
I tried the latest 5.1 build! Everything was working perfect!! No issues!
Boot time- Great!!
Settings works awesome!
Fast like hell!!
Sound works on build 8.1 19/4 android 5.1
Only issue, charge-time!
If this will be solved, (charge) then this is a stable and daily rom!! Best rom ever! ?

New build is up with M5 kernel packed in.

i suggest u to use kernel adiutor for kernel controls.

Validus-LP-v8.0-2015-04-21-validus_z3.zip

if it doesn't boot, simply fastboot flash previous kernel on top of that set up. (1st boot on validus is always a bit long...give it 10 min in case)

Enjoy.
Plz fix call lag bug, there is already a topic cm12.1 with call lag fix for Z3, i just flashed it last night

Double tap to wake is a kernel feature not rom...overlay been disabled on rom cuz was breaking the compilation, but yes; kernel has that dt2w feature, simply take kernel adiutor from store to set it on or off ;)
