Official Omnirom for Sony Xperia V

OmniROM is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is designed to increase performance, reliability and features over stock Android for your device.

Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.
 */
OmniROM is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts.

All the source code for OmniROM is available in the OmniROM Github repo.

We'll not support users and answer questions from users which:
- are running a custom kernel
- have flashed mods
- modified system files
- didn't follow our intructions word by word
- are unfriendly

Even if you tell us that your problem is not related to your custom kernel /mod / magic => WE DON'T CARE!
Your mod => your problem!

Official OmniROM Wiki:
http://docs.omnirom.org

First time installing OmniROM to your Xperia V, or coming from another ROM:

- Read known issues and FAQs
- Copy GApps and OmniROM ZIPs to your SDCard
- Unlock Bootloader
- Flash boot.img with fastboot "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
- Boot into Recovery (push volume down on boot if you can see sony logo)
- Flash OmniROM zip from SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!

Upgrading from earlier version of OmniROM:

- Copy the OmniROM ZIP to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash the OmniROM zip from SDCard
- Reboot

Issues:

- some users reported bluetooth pairing problem.
- offline charging no animation
- Miracast not working with unlocked bootloader

Been waiting forever for an omni rom port. Dling atm. Gonna test battery life and reboot frequency.

A question Herr Walter:

Any chance that the kernel would work on other ROM, such as AOKP?
And, if yes, can this be made into a flashable zip?

Thank you for your input.

Good to see this finally coming to the V. And no the kernel is not separable from the ROM so the kernel cannot be flashed onto another KK ROM.

As for reboots, there should be none - as with the T the new kernel should fix all instability issues.

Kernel source can work for all roms but you need to update a lot of proporitary files.
Any chances you could provide a flashable zip that includes the kernel and those proprietary files you mentioned?
I'd be willing to give this a shot. :)

Tested this for a couple of hours.
Except the wifi/gps/camera bugs everything else seems to work fine with ART on.
The Omni switch is a really nice feature:)

It's not as simple as a quick kernel and props flash - the system depends on the kernel that is being compiled alongside - the entire ROM needs to be compiled along with the kernel or you'll get breakage.

I am back to omni kernel.

Wifi works now. http://d-h.st/XVF

Use wifi firmware from kernel / mint (xperia t)

check /system/etc/firmware/wlan and replace files with files from Xperia T omni.

Edit:

Recovery fixed: use this in bootrec-device

export BOOTREC_EVENT_NODE="/dev/input/event7 c 13 72"
export BOOTREC_EVENT="/dev/input/event7"

Next Camera and GPS.

both camera fixed.

next step fix gps.
You're awesome bro :D
This sounds like the rom is now ready for daily usage, isn't it? :good:

By the way, are the bsod issues gone with the new kernel source? Have you been able to test this over some time? :)

BSOD's are now as much as you should have on a stock rom, cause it is the same kernel. So rarely :) Should be really stable like I have on my Xperia T!
