My phone gets very hot and starts to get laggy, anyone else with this problem?

What kernel are you using, and have you customized any of it's settings with something like Kernel Auditor? Perhaps setting your background memory killer stricter or limiting thermal settings somewhat might help you. While the phone can get hot, I have not had major lagging or heat issues under XPower 5 with AndroPlus v40 (do NOT use anything higher with this ROM)

I am using 3.10.84-Xkernel [email protected]

Is there a better one that I can use?

I still using Xpower 5.0. Im on AT&T and it works fine for LTE. I'm trying a project Fi data-only sim card which uses T-mobile. I can get HSPDA+ but not LTE. If I look up the supported 4G LTE bands, it states: 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 12(700), 17(700), 20(800), 28(700), 38(2600), 40(2300). If I lookup T-Mobile's 4G LTE bands, it lists 2,4,12
Is there anything the ROM which would prevent me from connecting to those bands?

Why not newest kernel? Now I'm using v40 and it's really better but after 5-6h it lags and sometime it restart (red led three times and reboot). No better kernel?

I'm still using the kernel that is included in this ROM. I tried androplus and zach's but I will see the same as you (lags, restart). I have never gotten a reboot using the included kernel. I get lags but I'm sure there are many factors. This is the only ROM I have used that does not have restarts so I'm sticking with it til there's a stable full featured Nougat rom.

So while we all wait for XPower Nougat (or maybe some of us are waiting for Xposed Nougat to be a thing too) I'm still having restart issues under XPower 5. I've wiped data entirely, but do use Xposed/Amplify/Greenify. Once it's booted, everything has been great, performance, battery life, etc, but whenever I do need to reboot, it's a process...as in, the phone boots up, shows the "Starting Apps" screen, then the screen goes black, the LED blinks red, and the phone reboots itself. I cannot figure out why, or even why it then will boot properly eventually...but I can leave it sitting there boot looping for hours, and then after manually turning it off and back on again, it'll boot up fine once, and then I just avoid rebooting for a while. Has anyone else had this problem or know what might help me get back into Android easier than just boot looping for hours until it makes it into Android properly?

I've wiped cache, reinstalled kernel/drm-fix, etc but right now my phone is off and won't really come up fully, though I can get into recovery, so I COULD disable xposed, but I'm pretty attached...

Are you flashing stock first then flashing xpower 5? I dont change the kernel, I use the one that came with xpower maybe thats the issue.
I also use xposed, amplify, greenify

Very strange, I had a similar issue but it wasnt triggered by reboot, it just suddenly would go into a boot loop after 3 days. never found a solution.

Thanks for the awesome rom. I am using it since this January without any problems. No reboots or boot problems at all. But, is it possible to somehow update the patch level? Would it be sufficient to update the kernel? And if so, could I compile or update it myself? Thanks in advance.

While it's sad, gave up on having xposed and flashed the newest Nougat build for our devices. While I miss a lot of that functionality, my phone is much faster and more stable than with everything else I had going on before, and March security patch! I'll keep an eye on this thread because I hope one day for a de-bloated, pre-rooted, customized version of the Nougat rom.

I've been using XPower 5.0 for a while now and am experiencing the screen staying awake but dimmed after notifications, and the inability to boot into recovery or fastboot. When I try either of the methods (holding respective volume buttons) it boots straight back into Android. Help please sirs and madams?

Looking to figure out why my fastboot and recovery are gone and how to get them back. :)

When flashing the rom and you are still in AROMA installer the process of "extracting system" seem to stuck at 20% mark just wait
When chosing custom installation make sure to select one home application!

I take that JTdevAndroid has stopped working on this?
