Even though my stupid butt just bricked the kindle. It weirdly doesn't happen on LOS 12.
So, you're basically telling me that after unbricking your device and re-installing the ROM again it's just unstable?Hi Ror, thanks for your help unbricking my device. I reinstalled Android 7.1.2. I reinstalled apps but when I tried using the OS now it's very unstable. The speed manages to be slower than Fire OS and your other OS'es SLIMLP, Lineage 12. I'd recommend increasing the ZRAM amount to the highest possible. Also in the kernel you can try to change it to performance mode in the kernel by default.
Yeah. I don't think the unbricking did anything. I'm thinking it's the ROM because when I installed a launcher and my apps it's very slow. it's always been slow to use. I wonder if my use case just makes the device inherently slow. This ROM clearly isn't fit even for light gaming. It's so slow to the point that i'm installing SlimLP. It seems android 5 works much better on the tablets hardware.
What I think amazon did on FireOS is the use of ZRAM or Swap File. This rom has ZRAM but the amount might need to be increased. It might help!
Depends on the size of the card. I have a 120 GB card formatted as exFat and it works fine.Quick question, what file system does this rom format your SD card to? iirc it uses FAT32. I remember having trouble copying a video file greater than 4GB in the past. I just reverted back to FireOS last night, because I wanted to check something, and noticed FireOS uses exFAT for SD cards.
I remember the rom not recognizing my old SD card because that was exFAT, so i formatted it from the storage settings tab, and it formatted to FAT32.
No difference at all. Both tablets are exactly the same. Just different generation. Check the trees for more information: https://github.com/kfgdiwi-development

Well, if I get the same status as nougat, I guess I'll discontinue it yeah. Not to mention that LineageOS stopped pushing security patches to the cm-14.1 branch. You can also expect LineageOS 16.0 once 15.1 it's enough stable.
