I can confirm that when restarted WiFi is disabled and must be enabled with the latest 14.1 build. Not that I care, though, as it's time to sunset 14.1 and move to 15 as more and more apps are dropping support for devices below Android 8.

@federico72 and @Rortiz2 I just restarted mine (using both Restart and Power Off then back on) and it automatically connected to my network. 2.4ghz if that matters. I had experienced disconnects initially, then I reconnected to my network as fresh (forget, reconnect) and that seemed to solve it.
Maybe others are having a different experience. Also might be a router issue.
Thanks for your reply but sadly I'm suffering the wifi issue even after installing from scratch (no google account involved so no network saved). I did a test deleting all the known networks and then registering only on two of them (2.4 and 5ghz). Still, can't have the tablet connected to a network at boo boot/reboot.
I'll do some more test tomorrow.

Hi, I downloaded this ROM last night, and I have to say that it works extremely well. There are however a few small issues when operating within certain google apps. For example, the install button in the playstore doesn't always seem to work, and I can't respond to sign in prompts that I get in Google for two step verification. I don't know if these are problems on my end or not, but I thought that I should make you aware of them. Either way, I love the ROM, and I greatly appreciate all of the hard work you put into it. It's like a whole new tablet!

(I might update to your 15.1 build a bit later on down the line, but I wanted to start off with a stable build on my first go)

I haven't experienced those issues on either version of the ROM, what GAPPs version did you use?

7.1 Nano I think. That was the gapps version recommended in the thread that showed me how to jailbreak the device.

I'm not sure if this would make any difference, but I use Nano. The build that I was using on the "old version" of the ROM was: open_gapps-arm64-7.1-pico-20210203.zip
I have also moved over to the "newer version" of the ROM, the 15.1 version. It has been error-free for me, although some people have reported an issue where the device "forgets" the wi-fi connection, needs to reconnect after sleep or reboot. That also hasn't happened for me.
I guess I am lucky!

Maybe I've missed this question, if so I apologise.

Is it possible to temporarily enable and then again disable the camera? Through ADB or something?

I'm using a Amazon Fire HD 8 2016 "Giza" model and it works great for the most part but I'm experiencing an issue with one of my two "Giza" tablets. It doesn't seem to want to properly shutdown and I don't know why, it'll just abruptly power off when the battery is low enough. Does anyone here have ideas what might be happening?

EDIT: Posted this in the wrong thread

Then, LOS14.1 will be discontinued soon?? How about deep sleep issue on LOS15.1?
Well, if I get the same status as nougat, I guess I'll discontinue it yeah. Not to mention that LineageOS stopped pushing security patches to the cm-14.1 branch. You can also expect LineageOS 16.0 once 15.1 it's enough stable.

Unfortunately, the Deep Sleep issue is present as well in lineage-15.1. The current list of working/not working features is:
    • Sound - OK.
    • Microphone - OK.
    • Internal Storage (sdcardFS) - OK.
    • External Storage - OK.
    • HW decoding - not working.
    • SW decoding - OK.
    • Photos/Video recording - not working (fair better than nougat).
    • Widevine (DRM) - not working.
    • Wi-Fi - OK.
    • BT - not working.
Once I get BT and DRM working I'll upload the first beta of lineage-15.1.
