Prerequisites for Installation
- Unlocked Bootloader
- TWRP Installed

Downloads
G-APPS (ARM)

Install/Upgrade the ROM
- Boot to TWRP
- Go to wipe and wipe: system, data, cache
- Go to install and flash ROM.zip
- Flash G-APPS (Optional)
- Reboot

When I was watching streaming video on youtube, I switched the video quality to 1080p60 then the video frozen, I know this device only has HD screen, but 1080p60 looks much better than 720p60. And 1080p60 youtube video is very lag!
Edit: Same problem with 720p60fps playback! This thing not happen on Lineage OS 14.1!

This log is not showing anything useful.

You should post the full log which contains (the probably SIGSEGV) crash of the application including the stacktrace.

GAPPS issue

Hello,

thank you for this great build. Everything works amazing for me except of the GAPPS. Once installed all apps start crashing and system gets unstable with open_gapps-arm-8.1-stock-20200412.zip.

Could you please advise which GAPPS package to install to avoid any problems?

Stock is way too heavy for this device. Best stick with Mini or below then add the Google apps you need from the Play Store.

Netflix crashes with "Device failure occurred. Please restart your device and try again (501.-1006)." Amazon Prime Video won't open. Sorry for asking stupid questions, I'm more of a beginner.

ok you're using the outdated version here on Netflix. the newer version is here and It loads okNetflix ApkMirror you have to use the apkmirror bundle installer.

Prime Video is often temperamental on community ROMs...not just on this device. While video playback can sometimes be coaxed full functionality is rarely achieved. Was it working on whatever ROM you were using before?

The last ROM I tried before this one was Cyanogenmod 9 in 2012 :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

My experience right now: Amazon shopping works fine (a bit slow though), Kindle cannot access any content and all other Amazon apps hang on black screen and then I get multiple dialogues of Amazon apps crashing.

I was hoping someone could advise some APKs to sideload. I appreciate I should not rate ROMs based on problems with third party APKs and I didn't mean to sound ungrateful for the hard work you guys do here.

Hopefully you don't mind me sharing my experience with this build so far as this might help others to go for this ROM.

1. There are nearly no lags, the device is incredibly faster compared to stock ROM
2. Sound and Mic work without any problems
3. No issues with video playback
4. I didn't encounter any crashes with GAPPS Mini. I couldn't install the Google Play Games APK from Play Store though. I didn't attempt to sideload it as I don't need it that much.
5. I didn't have any problems with Wi-Fi.
6. I didn't test Bluetooth.
7. Any Netflix APKs crashed after installing Magisk DRM Disabler (so you might need to uninstall it) and my Netflix only worked after I installed liboemcrypto disabler (through Magisk).
8. It seems I can only access my rear camera as there's no UI option to switch to the front one. It's a shame as the front camera might be more useful for video calls and I doubt anyone really uses the rear one very often to take pictures.
9. Sometimes I struggle to draw pattern to unlock the device as the touch feedback might not be 100% accurate (I'm not saying this is something related to the ROM as this might be specific to my device).

Anyone who is currently on Stock ROM and can live without Amazon streaming services should definitely consider trying this ROM :good: :good:

Anyone else having problems connecting to hidden SSID wifi hotspots with this ROM?
Works fine in LOS14 and LOS16.
