Just tried latest build. Camera still not working for me. Looks like everything else is good. Tanx for the hard work.

Which camera are you using? Stock or Google camera? Stock camera works fine for me. Google camera works after wiping cache and data for it.

...latest build and going strong, thanks!

Just to add my two cents, I've never had a problem with either camera; not that I ever use the front-facing one.
But yeah, both cameras work fine in both Google Camera and Vignette (my preferable camera app).

Just tried the latest LRS build. Still no working front camera for me. It works on video but camera just freezes whole phone when taking selfie. Back to backup. Tanx for trying tho.

Anyone having issues with MMS since past few builds? I tried different settings in Chomp as well as specify manual settings, but doesn't work. Default messaging app didn't help. Only thing that works is to flash APN fix v2. That forces me back to 3G only tho. If I dirty flash new CM13, LTE is restored but MMS stops working again.

Maybe I need to try clean flash & see if that works? Wondering if anyone else having issues. Used to work OK a few builds ago.

Thx

OK so I took the plunge and loaded it up along with the gapps package. Everything works great although I keep getting the "Google play services have stopped" error message every 3 seconds. What have I missed or what am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if it you did this or it's related. But with android 6 and probably any newer version. You must flash gapps before the first boot. Meaning do this, wipe, flash rom, flash gapps, boot system. Not this, wipe, flash rom, boot system, reboot recovery then flash gapps. Other wise I'd say clear the cache from the recovery and make sure play services is up to date.

Thanks for the reply. I finally got it working. Success. Only bug I can report is the front camera not working. Had to load the boost mobile APN fix to get 4g working, but other than that everything works great!
Confirmed working on Galaxy S3 L710 Sprint model on Boost Mobile service.

...that happened to me when I inadvertently flashed a 5.1 GApps.

You sure you're flashing the 6.0?

...thanks for the new March security patch level update!

Just as Lrs121 predicted, there's a loss of mobile data upon the usual dirty flash.
After a restart, the re-flash of the VM apn fix, another restart, then the whole dirty flash of the ROM, GApps, and SuperSU again, everything works great!

Thanks again, for MM on my VM.
Happy flashing!

I have virgin mobile on my sgs3, I've never been able to get 4g to work, is there something special I have to do? Does reboot nvrestore actually work? Please post a guide! I've been desperate for years now... I can drop you a tip. Complain about how there's other unlimited 4g providers giving $60 deals, like metro or boost, if you are a long time customer they will give you a good deal.

Your welcome, I actually completely forgot the fact that there was a security update. I just felt like it had been a while since the last build.

I think someone posted a like to a guide @madbat99 made on getting 4g working a couple pages back. It had some weird steps involving flashing the rom, gapps, and vm fix, booting to Android, then dirty flashing the ROM and the VM fix again.

I'm still unable to retrieve pics in messenger, but at least I've got LTE goin' on.

MMS doesn't seem to work anymore when you have LTE enabled, but it did a few builds ago (back in Dec. I think). In order to get it to work, I have to revert back to 3G, then it works fine. You do that by:

  • Flash APN v2
  • Boot & go to cell network settings. Set preferred network to 3G. Without this, mobile data doesn't connect.
You won't get LTE anymore, but MMS works, so pick your poison. I'm living with 3G for now as I don't really need high speed. Some additional notes:

  • If you dirty flash a CM13 again, LTE will be restored..BUT, you have to manually go back into the settings & select "LTE (Preferred)". Without that, mobile data doesn't work.
  • Once you dirty flash CM13 & go back to LTE, MMS stops working again. So, I have been re-flashing APN v2 after every CM13 update to remain on 3G & have MMS.
