The battery indicator is broken.
I can't get it to display percentage at all, and it only shows the battery symbol, no circle.

go to settings - battery - enable percentage.
just a workaround until los feature is ready.

Anyone dirty flashed the latest update (27/12) and can confirm its working properly? There are 3 others already complaining about bootloops :/
yes, dirty flash worked for me!

guys, i always scan my two thumbs for fod.
in settings - security - fingerprint you can check which fp is recognized. when i test it, i sometimes see that left thumb recognized as right thumb for example. then tried other fingers and for surprise i can unlock my phone with 2 other fingers that never were scanned.
so "everyone" could unlock my device..
no wonder it works 10/10 times because it works with everything.. ?
can someone confirm?

I'm still on 20191209 build, but my friend unlocked my phone with his fingerprint on Saturday with his first attempt. Didn't work again after that, but this is concerning, probably shouldn't trust FOD for now.

Same problem here. I'm on 11.0.3.0 EEA firmware and 9th December LOS build. Some people suggested that flashing MIUI and starting from scratch might fix the problem but I haven't had the time to try that.

Edit: I'm also able to open the phone with knuckles and nose. Removing registered fingerprints and re-adding them doesn't help.

I test mine. Using the 11.0.1 vendor and firmware with los 17 2019-12-16
And it's unlock using my elbow and my other finger. I guess everyone can go inside my phone now ?

*edit : i also using nillkin tempered glass. Maybe this cause an issue ?

*edit 2 : so i try to remove all fingerprint, and just register 1 finger. Now it won't unlock when I try using my elbow or other finger... Is that what cause the fingerprint an issue ?

i read somewhere that its a known xiaomi bug. its on some other roms too and its fixed by xiaomi in latest beta builds so we can expect a fix for custom roms.

Check this post.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79726974&postcount=2

But don't forget to change "Clean and Lock" into the other one. You could brick your device easily.

Thank you very much. I'm back on stock rom and the front camera works fine.

Now I have some more question:

- Does it make sense to flash again to LOS or will I run in same issue again?
- If I flash to LOS and a new version is released will I lose my data everytime I flash to the new version?
- Are there any rumors/information about an official release?

Thanks/Regards

1. I would try again to flash LOS now. Should work now without issues I think.

2. Basically you will need to format data once if you come from Miui. After that you can dirty flash the new updates. But I would backup my data eveytime if there is an update out. I lost them 3 times because of some issues when updating. But theoretically it should work without problems.

3. You can subscribe to this thread. So you will get a notification here if there is an update.

I clean flashed the 2019-12-27 build. Everything works fine, except WhatsApp push notifications. Sometimes it takes hours to receive them if I'm not manually checking the app. Does somebody else have the same issue?

Did you restore WhatsApp via Titanium Backup or something similar? That is known to break notifications.
