Lineage has always been my "go-to" rom, but I'm unable to use it on my G5 Plus as the "Sample Leanback Launcher" prevents me from accessing my app drawer, or my settings , or mych of anything else. Can anyone explain to me a way to remove it? I've tried a few suggested methods, but without success. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I just installed the latest @ZJRDroid build and the Share pop-up isn't working; is this happening for anyone else? I've tried with different apps, types of content, etc.; it just gives me an "Android System stopped working" error message.

I'm going to try downgrading to an earlier build and see if that solves anything.

fingerprint sensor does not work. I made an update from version LineageOS 15.1 to 17.1. No erros, only the fingerprint sensor does not work. There is also no menu item in the settings. Does anyone have an idea what i can do?

Found a solution:
The issue with fingerprint is that after flashing stock Oreo ROM it replaces some files related to fingerprint sensor.
Hence all the newer custom ROM builds use the Oreo firmware related files. Hence it worked on the Pie ROM.

RR v6 would be still using the old nougat firmware hence you need to flash a file for it work. Which will replace the fingerprint related files for Nougat Stock firmware:

In case you want to revert the changes and use Pie ROMs:
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262904029635 ----> this fix works für LineageOS 17.1

Out of curiosity, where are the builds coming from specifically? Do you guys (riyan65, Erick_Summer, anyone else who's posted one) build them yourselves or are they coming prebuilt by the dev?

The first post links to the standard LineageOS GitHub for source. Is there another repository (ZJRdroid's?) with the changes specific to Potter?

I did just check on GothicVI AndroidFileHost site for our Potter and found a new build for December released yesterday:

Here are listed all the builds he has done for Potter

I too am very happy that monthly builds keep appearing from various devs

Will now go try this one myself!

UPDATE: 6 hours later... Exercise caution before flashing this ROM !!

I'm experiencing problems after updating to it. Rebooting kicks me into TWRP with the message RescueParty. This implies that things are not well. Unable to restore any previous TWRP Nandroid backups, doing default wipe operations between each restore attempt. Will now totally wipe and format /data as well as internal storage and try a fresh install with this ROM otherwise I will fall back to the November update from ZJRDRoid.

I'll update later after figuring out what I need to get up and running again.

Hi, just flashed the November linked above ROM as my stock just became too unusable and I suspected malware etc.

I note that the Snap app is not saving to DCIM folder but to the app subfolder inside the SD card. I don't mind where it saves but Gallery doesn't see that folder so effectively I cannot view the files on the phone unless I open the Files app and navigate to that subfolder.

After some reading I see this was an issue in LOS 16 but just wondering has it ever been resolved? Seems an architectural problem as in not allowing apps to read the public area of the SD card.
