CrDroid 6.5 is almost the same as LOS 17.1, it is maintained by the same dev, bloatware does not exist, the performance is identical, the accu drain is around 1-2% at night.

Try it!

@Coderzs , are you willing to continue updating this LOS ?

Hi there, I have been using this ROM for quite a while and have been very happy with that.
Now, I have noticed the developer is not keeping it with the monthly patches as he is keeping on CrDroid .

I though to move to CrDroid but according to the thread it seems not to be as mature as this LOS development as people still reporting spontaneous reboots , etc.

Can anybody and or the developer confirm how mature CrDroid is at this point ?

I love LOS but I have no problem moving to CrDroid as long as it is as stable as LOS and as I noticed has been more up to date in therms of monthly patches.

Tks guys

???

doesn't CrDroid have google/pixel stuff installed? Gboard and all that crap? That's bloatware in my book!

I want AOSP Keyboard, Dialer, Gallery, Mail, etc. !!

That's why I love Lineage. Cleanest ROM by far.
@coderzs PLEASE update this, I beg you! :fingers-crossed::)

Hi. I have LOS 17.1 on my tablet and I do not see any important improvements in compare to LOS 16 on the same tablet.
This is a reason to select custom ROM optimised by developer for device. No problem to compile Los and jump to next project without any optimalisations after fixing all reported bugs. I prefer Los 16 for mi 9 lite because of this. The same makes 17.1 better for my tablet. If this is 17 or 16 does not matter. The version does not have any value. (The same makes sense of using original android 7 on galaxy s6 instead of using custom rom).

Hello,

After installing the rom everything seems to work fine except that I do not have write access to the SD card and the system. After formatting the SD card, no improvement. Regarding the system, I was able to install some applications before having the message "Storage unavailable. Insert SD card or USB memory"

It's disappointment ...

Did you install Magisk? If not try flashing a Magisk zip and then the problem will be hopefully solved[emoji106][emoji108]

Try to wipe data, internal storage and cache and then format data thru twrp. If that doesn't work then try to install miui with fastboot rom and then reflash rom. Hope that helps[emoji106]

Hello,

It's me again ! After the first boot, the setting loop on the lockscreen configuration. So i skip this part. But now, if i want change the lock method he say "lockscreen is already set. Try new lock method" (or something like that) and the lockscreen setting back to the default, without code or fingerprint. If i try to set via fingerprint menu, i have the same result.

So... I flash lineage 17.1 over the last official global mui rom with OrangeFox recovery (cause no one of twrp work for me) and i do the step like said in previous post. I try to search in another setting section but i dont find anything relative to that.

maybe someone can explain me if i miss something ?

Thanks.

FOD not working with screen off

So I did a clean flash of latest build with gapps micro and magisk 20.4.
Everything is working except fingerprint when screen is off.
I've set up fingerprints and they work fine in apps.
I only have the options of unlocking with PIN, pattern, password or swipe.
Can anyone tell me how to get it working?

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Instructions :
    • Download and flash last firmware
    • Download the latest build and bitgapps
    • Boot to recovery
    • Do FACTORY RESET
    • Flash the latest build
    • Boot to recovery again
    • Flash gapps
    • Reboot

    Reporting Bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.
