lineage17.1 is the most stable version :) the previous ones were freezing and locking. yes that's it, it doesn't freeze anymore etc. Thank youuuu

For game lovers, I suggest you to update the GPU driver. xda adreno 500 series opengl & vulkan.

gpu driver v.5.5 gpu [email protected] vulkan 1.1.128. Twrp flash

I recomend magnetar KİLO to Magisk users. heavy games crash on tablet without this module.

I recommend magisk swap torpedo module for those who want to turn off zram , you can find it on xda. If you don't like games , you don't need it.

dark mod is very nice, thank you to everyone who contributed.

other 17.1 is were freezing or tablet was turning off and on.

lineage 17.1 20210519 works like clockwork so far

with this combination, the tablet flows like butter :)

İ don't know english sorry google translator:)

Do you have links to these?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...pengl-vulkan-drivers-v-474-0-1-1-128.4042619/ The stock driver is very old and I can say that I see a serious difference in games with this driver. current version v5.5 folder [email protected] gpu and vulkan two-in-one file

https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/module-swap-torpedo-run-faster-and-more-reliably.3766883/page-30 it depends on your reguest. I use it

XXXXXX install with magisk. he handles everything. This module is indispensable for my tablet. games crash without it. I am currently trying magnetar LİMA with lineage 17.1 works fine for now with Los17.1.

gpu driver and magnetar module are very important for my tablet :))

I have a tablet that turns itself off and on when gaming or surfing the web, even on stock firmware. magnetar does not have this problem. ;)

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*
*/

Hi,

I just uploaded a new build that includes the June 2021 security patches to AndroidFileHost. It should be possible to dirty flash the ROM over the existing LOS 17.1 build from codeworkx or me - at least this is what I did successfully.
Dear sir/madam,
You have worked miracles. From the first version OP started this thread and posted his version of this ROM I had an issue with using the gmail app and configuring my ActiveSync email with a self signed certificate on my mail server. Gmail would crash every time it would load the mail. Since you started uploading your builds the Gmail app just works.
I actually made an account here, just to tell you this. Thank you, Thank you so much! You have save me some money by not needing to buy a new tablet! Can I donate to you to buy you a some coffee?

Glad I could help :) . In the end most of the work for the ROM was done by others, like XDA member codeworkx and the LineageOS team, and I just built their code.

Just did a clean install works great! The only thing that doesn't work is connecting my Go Plus (pokemon go BT peripheral) while the Gotcha (unofficial version of the Go Plus) connects without a problem. I keep getting pairing errors on the Go Plus even after using magisk hide. Anyone else run into this problem? All BT devices worked without a problem in LineageOS 16.0.

I found this old Reddit thread where problems with the Go Plus for someone with the Tab 4 10 Plus were discussed. There are a couple of suggestions in that thread, but none of them worked for the thread poster. It seems like Go Plus wants to make sure it does not get used on unlocked or rooted devices. Normally Magisk hide should then be the way to go, but it seems it does not always work for this device. Can't help you any further, sorry.

Hello all . I've recently started having issues with my tab not being able to see any Google cast devices. All other phones and tabs can just this one that can't. I've tried clearing caches and clean installs with full wipes. Can anyone give me a clue on what to do

Thanks for the link, sadly this didn't help me connecting the Go Plus. I keep getting an error message "Couldn't pair ... because of an incorrect PIN or passkey". Thankfully the Gotcha device still works so I'll just stick to using that.

I'd like to flash this rom. My tablet is TB-X704F. Is this rom built for this model? I don't know the difference between the TB-X704F and TB-X704L models, but I don't want to end up flashing the wrong file. Thanks for building in any case.

    Hanging on the boot animation
    This is driving me crazy. I've flashed 17.1 but it hangs on the boot animation - and yes, I've left it for way longer than 30 minutes.

    I've tried it with TWRP 3.3.1 and with the latest TWRP 3.5.2 - no change.
    I've tried it with & without flashing Magisk & Gapps as well - no difference.
    I've done system resets & reformatted the various internal partitions - no change.
    I've flashed locally and via ADB sideload - no difference. And I tried a suggestion I found online of flashing 17.1 via TWRP then reflashing boot.img via Fastboot, that didn't help either.

    Oh, and I also tried Lineage 16.1 and 18.1 with the same results -the boot animation just runs and runs.

    I can get into Fastboot & Recovery OK, but that's all. The device is unlocked and was rooted before. Fastboot still shows "Secure Boot - enabled" which worries me a bit, but I don't think I can change it.

    Any suggestions I've not tried yet, or of things I might have missed, are very welcome! o_O
    On the Lenovo TB-8704, which I owned for some time, I had a similar problem when not wiping the data partition. Although this is not mentioned on the first page of this thread in the installation instructions I think not wiping can lead to exactly the problem you described also on the X704. In this posting here in the thread another member described how he finally succeeded in installing the ROM. Perhaps this helps.

    Here we go again, after building LOS 17.1 last weekend, it's LOS 18.1 this weekend. Thinking back, Lenovo didn't release a single major update for this device.

    Screenshot_20210425-043143_Settings.png

    From very brief testing, I can say that the camera and fingerprint scanner do not work. I will test the new OS in detail in the next few days and then create a separate thread soon.
