I found the problem, it's an issue with the modem firmware my ISP pushed. I reported it to them and they have to fix it.

I'm not liking crDroid, the screen doesn't auto-rotate.

Just installed the newest version (29 June's) and it fixed 2 bugs:
Casting screen to fire stick max correctly
Black Background for Facebook app finally available

Still not verified WiFi stability and simcard management as internal, had issues on the early version

Another good thing, untested on vanilla version: the clock alarm wakes up the turned off phone one minute before ringing. Tested also on Lenovo p2 with Los 18.1 . Same marvellous soc

Hi,
I got a 8804 model and a 8703 model both running on Lineage OS. Works great really good Rom I love using them.

It's just that I noticed one thing recently, when watching Youtube on the 8804 model I can choose 4k resolution, while on 8703 there's only 1080P.

I then use the Codec Info app to check supported codec on both devices. On 8804 it has hardware vp9 decoder that can do 4k30fps. But 8703 model only has software decoder for up to 1080p60. In my test 8804 model can play 1440p 60fps no problem while 8703 have no option for 1440p or higher even with Vanced.

Both devices should have SD625 soc. So is it a licence thing or there's actual hardware difference? Anything I can do to get 8703 model to run VP9 HW decode as well, plz let me know
