LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10 (Q), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Yes biometrics work.Hey Gguys,
Does encryption work and are there any issues with biometrics?
How do you install coming from PIE?
Can you contact me through telegram ? I might've an idea.I decided to give encryption a go. Installed lineage fine, root and twrp working fine. Went to encrypt after setting pin but the phone reboots with a black screen flashing on and off. No errors so I can't get a screen shot. Any ideas what's happening here and possible fixes? Willing to try anything at this point otherwise its back to stock as its the only ROM with working encryption.
You need to import contacts from sim card

In USB mode: “file transfer” - the laptop does not see the phone. Is it just me?
