For me and my T700 this build has so far worked well. However I am reporting very early as I just finished the install an hour ago. I was on RR 5.8.5 (7.1.2) from Dec 2020 (or was it 2019?) and I already had TWRP 3.3 and easily flashed twrp 3.6 img (latest as of today) with no issues. Then I wiped everything (except microsd and usb otg) with no issues. I then installed LineageOS 17.1 20220504 and open_gapps-arm-10.0-mini-20220110.zip (first build of the year I believe). Everything went well, it signed into my wifi without issues and all the apps updated. I did not transfer data from googles cloud as I wanted it to run as is. Fired up the play store and updated more of the already installed apps without issues. Going to install brave, a dedicated video app and my file manager of choice and be done with it.

So far I am having no issues. Going to use this for mainly watching movies during camping and some rare web browsing, maybe some email checking every now and then. Overall I am impressed that it is running as smoothly as it is.

Thanks for the Android 10 love on this old tablet.... I was shocked to see this available.... lol

Many Thanks, @8224Freak

T800: Only used for media/browsing and mucking about.

Installed without issue, Twrp wipe, Pico and Magisk.
Wifi 5Ghz, and BT pairing. All good. (Headphones)
Video playback in Brave and Kiwi browser, working.
Battery life is excellent with no significant drains.
Music player/Eq, camera, torch, location, airplane mode, battery saver and settings all work.

Rom feels fluid and problem-free. for me.
Works right out of the box. (3 days of testing without mishap)
Breathed new life into my forgotten tablet.
Outstanding work!
Thanks again.

Update: Reduced the screen resolution to 1920x1200 and DPI to 240 as suggested by @Ledah
Positive impact on performance.
App: Easy DPI changer.
Thanks.

The DPI Changer... Is it the same as running the following?
adb shell wm size 1920x1200
adb shell wm density 240
adb shell reboot

(an option is to try 1280x800 160 - looks a bit washed out in GUI)

The original values are 2560x1600 and 320 (in case one needs to restore the settings). These can be read by running
adb shell dumpsys display | grep mBaseDisplayInfo

Have you checked playback of videos extensively? What I saw when trying this ROM a while ago was that the videos were played, but frequently the scaling of the video was changing, so it became "zoomed" on the left part of it. Could you please test this with youtube videos played in Brave or any other browser?

If setting up the lower resolution helps, then it is time to celebrate!

I haven't done any extensive testing, just light to medium use.
I don't game on it. Used for media, browsing, and tinkering around of late.

Unable to comment on Adb, but probably the same result.
App is straightforward.

Scaling @1920x1200/240, no video playback problems. (YT/Twitch)
Currently using the 1280x800/160, I'm assuming it's less demanding on hardware/battery, and visual not all that different, I could be wrong tho.

Found "Kiwi" browser to be faster in loading times than Brave, also being able to add extensions is a plus. (more tinkering^^)

No crashes or serious flaws to report.

Thanks. Tried this ROM again (lineage-17.1-20220504-UNOFFICIAL-chagallwifi), different screen resolutions, different screen densities - still intermittent video playback issues in browsers including Brave. The fault manifests itself as the video being zoomed in occasionally (not always), so that only a part of it remains visible.

I must say, however, that this ROM is faster than LOS-17.1 by minashorky when playing videos.

So, going back to the old lineage-14.1-20220107-UNOFFICIAL-chagallwifi, which feels cleaner, much faster and has SELinux+encryption working.

Didn't find a better matching thread - hope it's not off-topic
I'm stuck with combination file on my T705 I got from https://samsungcombinationfile.com/flash-samsung-combination-firmware
COMBINATION_OXA_FA44_T705XXU1AOC1_OXA_1725373_REV00_user_mid_noship.tar.md5
I flashed it, using Odin3_v3.14.4 , but there's no working recovery-mode.
Since I flashed that only flashing this leads to "PASS",
other flashing attempts with odin lead to "FAIL" - tried
SM-T705_NEE_T705XXU1CPH3_T705NEE1CPH4_T705XXU1CPH3_T705XXU1CPH3
twrp-3.6.1_9-0-klimtlte.img.tar
SM-T705_1_20161226141339_4b12u2bjgf

(I tried this because I didn't get OEM UNLOCK neither after several attempts with date-tweak nor after waiting for more than 2 weeks)

I'd be grateful for help.

Thank you very much, this one worked for me.
I installed it over original firmware "DBT-T800XXU1CPHF-20161014121729", took the "lineage-17.1-20220504-UNOFFICIAL-chagallwifi" and "open_gapps-arm-10.0-nano-20220215". Had to set the Wifi 2x, since there no bugs seen.

I have two questions: how can i enable/reinstall the Samsung Kids mode with this operating system?
And the original firmware looked for my eyes before disabling the display - how can i enable this function here?

Thanks again for your hard work!

Find the TWRP of the .img extension (not the .tar)
root with a one click root app like kingroot or kingoroot
use flashify or whatever to flash the TWRP.img into recovery.

Thank you very much - you helped me out of THIS trap!
Now I got a new problem I haven't experienced yet
twrp-3.6.1_9-0-klimtlte could't install - Failed to mount "/hidden". I found one old thread from 2018 that ended without solution.
So I'm stuck again at another stage :-(
Odin couldn't install T705XXU1CPH3_T705NEE1CPH4_T705XXU1CPH3_HOME.tar.md5 as well - FAIL (last message "cache.img")
Complete(Write) operation failed.

Odin still only capable of installing Combination file :(
Reminds me of the film "Groundhog Day" "Und täglich grüßt das Murmeltier" in german

Try Heimdall instead of Odin, like described in the old LineageOS wiki:
(This is for T700, but the T705 should be similar).

Greetings! Does anyone know how to restore the operation of LTE networks on t705? A very good assembly, but without mobile data, the tablet is castrated somehow. Its most important functional does not work.
This is the biggest problem in my opinion.
I do not understand why the author of the topic does not indicate in the first message that LTE data does not work so far !!!

Same problem as many with a SM-T800, the WIFI dosen't work, "Check Password and try again" message or "Authentification problem". It only works with my Galaxy S20 FE in Hotspot mode.
I also tried the January Pico Gapps, it doesn't change anything and doesn't work.
