Thanks for the build, it definitely works. Though the camera doesn't have any option to record video?
Broken video recording seems to be a common issue with these ~17.1 builds. I know that other people like bluess57 have attempted work-arounds in their builds by using camera code/apps from other sources. If you google "LineageOS camera recording" you can find potential work-arounds utilizing alternative camera apps like Open Camera or Aperture, but I don't have any experience with them at this time.

Thanks for your feedback. I've added a note to the main post that this may be an issue.

Hello everyone, I write on this thread because it seems to me the most read. I still have 17.1 on Bluess57 T805 lte which unfortunately hasn't been updated for some time, I would like to ask which is the best and working version to install at this moment, second what do I see that you go from vesion 15,17,18, and 20 and then abandon them all couldn't you join and make a definitive version that works well?

I have a 17.1 update build, but seems /apex wants to corrupt the file system every 2nd reboot and haven't got to the bottom of the problem yet, hence not releasing it.
18 doesn't suffer this problem but has the graphics browser crash problem, apart from that ,being a concern, isn't too bad a build to run

Hello friends,

I tried to update my old Samsung Galaxy Tab S devices with the latest Android 10 (Lineage 17.1). I would like to make the build available for you guys as well.

Special thanks to the teams at Exynos5420 and LineageOS for the sources.

Devices:
  1. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 WiFi (klimtwifi) SM-T700
  2. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE (klimtlte) SM-T705
  3. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 LTE (chagalllte) SM-T805
  4. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 WiFI (chagallwifi) SM-800
  5. Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Edition 2014 (n1awifi) SM-P600

I will create new builds from time to time.

Installation:
1. Flash latest official Samsung Firmware with ODIN
2. Flash latest TWRP Recovery https://twrp.me/Devices/Samsung/
3. Wipe Data
4. Install ROM.ZIP with TWRP https://luis-builds.de/downloads/lineageos/misc/
5. Install latest GApps with TWRP (ARM/Android10) https://opengapps.org/
6. Reboot and Enjoy
7. Optional: Install Magisk

Download the file:
https://luis-builds.de/downloads/lineageos/misc/

Sources:
https://github.com/LineageOS (LineageOS 17.1)
https://github.com/exynos5420/ (Kernel, Device, Vendor)

Greetings Frank
It looks like the link for this is broken:

Download the file:
https://luis-builds.de/downloads/lineageos/misc/

Anyone still have this or know where to download it? I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 WiFi (klimtwifi) SM-T700 that I'd very much like to install this on.

Thanks!

@glitchers Is there a reason why the IR blaster is prebuilt?
I also have adopted the Deathly kernel into a lineage 17.1 build Testing it as we speak. Mainly for the undervolt capabilities.

I used the stock LineageOS code+configs plus manifests from the exynos5420 repo. Any build policies are the way they are because those folks (who are way more experienced than myself when it comes to android) decided they were sensible defaults. Sorry, that's all I can tell you, because I'm new to this scene.

Seems like there's still plenty of room for refinement. Let us know how your tests go!

Okey. Logical.
- For the T-800 (maybe the other too) I had already fixed the IR blaster 2 years ago.
- Implementing the OC/UV for gpu and cpu seems to work fine. Tablet is a little cooler. Still hot though.
- Scaling of the video playback in the browser also looks fixed.

I do have a T800, so I cant say it for the rest. Care to try it?

Sorry, I don't have time to test right now. BTW, does this June 5th commit include your IR blaster fix, or is it unrelated?

That's à fix. Not the fix i had in mind. It just used a prebuilt older version. The fix should be at the cause of the problem:

Here you go.:

Changelog (only T800):
  • Kernel with UV/OC capabilities (Code from Deathly kernel) (DANGEROUS!)
  • Fixes to scaling while playing video in web browser
  • IR Blaster firing with right timing
  • Deathly Adiutor APK preinstalled. (Needs root to work)
  • Fixes some selinux denials (still in permissive mode)

Thank you so much!

Now LOS 17.1 is as fast as LOS 14.1 :)
Fast charging and everything else work perfectly!

Thank you again for porting this to LOS 17.1 !

New release:

LineageOS 17.1 for Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.3/10.1 Wifi/LTE (T700/T705/T800/T805) version:
Updated:
  • Kernel with UV/OC capabilities (Code from Deathly kernel) (DANGEROUS!)
  • Fixes to scaling while playing video in web browser
  • IR Blaster firing with right timing
  • Deathly Adiutor APK preinstalled. (Needs root to work)
  • Fixes some selinux denials (still in permissive mode)
  • Media upstream changes from Exynos5420 repo
  • zram/zcache kernel enabled from Exynos5420 repo
Keep in mind: T700/T705/T805 not tested! Flash at your own risk.
I don´t think there is much more to do. My tab is running fine, only the Lineage camcorder is not working.

Installed and testing now. The one problem I have found common to all of the LineageOS versions is corruption of embedded video. I was hoping that Hazou's release might have sorted it out but it hasn't.

I worked out a way to "fix" it (or at least improve it), which is by installing an older version of Android System Webview.

The best way to experience the problem is to install Google News and attempt to read a few articles. It was the first thing I tried with this new release. Bang, instant reboot!

This is my goto webview. Installed and all now works okay.

Webview v.75

Also: thanks to Hazou for working fingerprint too. Didn't work for me in glitcher's release

I hope this version will solve the reboot and freeze problem I have with the previous version.🤞

So this problem can be found in Los 14.1 too?
