@namtabeht-6 ok.
If it were mine I'd start from scratch but different to what you did.
Download multiple! part stock via samfirm_reborn (binary nature)
Flash the files separately (Ap to AP, bl to BL, aso) in Odin
Reboot to system (working?)
reboot to download mode
flash TWRP directly with Odin and reboot to TWRP,
Wipe, format, flash LOS.
Idk if it helps but might.

i'm willing to try this. i wasn't able to find a twrp file to flash via ODIN, and was only able to install it by rooting + downloading the official app via the playstore

I have teh firmware binary nature files downloading via the app now

thought i'd bricked it but i can get it into download mode (plugged in AC and got a "firmware upgrade failed, connect with Kies" notice)

those are the only files that were included in the download using samfirm reborn...

i used odin to flash those 3 files in their respective slots, and it failed. was able to get it to boot into download mode after thinking it was bricked, and flashed the same file (stock, P600UEUDQF1_P600XARDQF1_HOME.tar.md5). interestingly enough, on boot it now says "powered by Android" at the bottom of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition bootscreen. it did not do so before...

Don't understand that as on the official site there's a ...tar file.
sorry, you're totally correct. okay downloaded and loaded via odin. was able to get it to launch before the OS booted as the instructions say.

as i mentioned, downloading the firmware in separate pieces gave me only BL, AP, CSC, without a CP, and when i attempted to flash those to the device, it failed and i had to reflash it with stock.

so i tried P600UEUDQF1_P600XARDQF1_HOME.tar.md5, loaded TWRP with Odin, wiped all but external SD, formatted, loaded Lineage and again, just endless LOS logo.

i really wish i knew what was going wrong.... thank you for helping me though, much appreciated

sorry for blowing up this thread. it's been a long time since i've posted much in forums so my skills are rusty.

I was able to flash the 3 x files onto the tablet successfully. It booted to the stock OS setup screen. i shut down and restarted in download mode, flashed TWRP to it and booted into TWRP.

before i move on from here, i was hoping you would clarify exactly which "Wipe" options i use, and exactly which, if any, "format" options i use:

wipe - do i use "advanced wipe" or just "swipte to factory reset"?
format - i'm assuming it's just "format data" and then "yes"

after which i believe i'm good to install lineage and GApps? i would be using:

lineage-17.1-20210902-UNOFFICIAL-n1awifi.zip
and
open_gapps-arm-10.0-micro-20210921.zip

In "advanced wipe" mark system, internal storage, Dalvik and Cache.
"factory reset" would afaik only wipe "Data" to delete all user settings.
Never used it though.

correct

As I don't own a P600 but P605 I don't know about the quality of that version.
Anyhow I would stop after flashing LOS, reboot and check if system starts.
open_gapps-arm-10.0-micro-20210921.zip
Can do afterwards if LOS fired up before.
I always use the pico version as I don't need the additional stuff in higher versions.
I'd recommend pico anyhow as you can install everything needed from playstore anyhow.
And it's easier to identify what causes problems if installed seperatly.

still won't pass the LOS boot animation following those steps, without installing Gapps...

i'm going to try it once more today with crDROID instead of LOS but i have little hope in it working.
thanks for your input and help!! i did take your advice and grabbed the pico version of the Gapps so on the off chance it boots, i'll install that. thanks!

@namtabeht-6 just as a matter of interest: are crdroid and LOS named in your 1st post one or two ROMs and if two are both not working?
Is RR 5.8.5 working on your P600?
Did you try the permantly updated LOS14.1 by Exynos dev team?
That is working brilliantly on my P900 (also Exynos 5420).
2 different roms, what i believe is the "most recent" as found in this thread here: https://luis-builds.de/downloads/lineageos/misc/

I'm grabbing RR 5.8.5 from https://luis-builds.de/downloads/lineageos/rr/Samsung_Galaxy_Note_10.1_Edition_2014_(n1awifi)/ and will try that

Do you have a link to the LOS 14 by Exynos? I'd try that, too

question... do the gapps have to be installed for the OS to boot (in all cases?)
i installed the lineage file you sent the link for but it's still in the (slightly larger than the newest version) animation at the start. i did not hvae the gapps package installed.

it's not appearing to work. still looping. i want to try one last time before i just stick with the stock OS... i'm going to write out my exact process in case i'm missing something vital and/or obvious. these are the files being used:
1632411435439.png

currently looping the OS intro animation for LOS, so i'm booting to download mode

ODIN MODE
Product name: SM-P600
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Custom
Secure Download: Enabled
KNOX Warranty Void: 1
RP SWREV: A3

flashing BL/AP/CSC with ODIN (run as Admin in Win10).... PASS!

rebooting now into stock OS

currently at the first page of the OS setup. at this point i have a question

do i go through with the setup, get to dev options and then turn on USB debug?

i'm halting here until hopefully i can get some input... if no to USB debug, then it would be
shutdown
boot to download mode
install twrp-3.5.0_9-0-lt03wifiue.img.tar OR another if you have suggestions for a specific version of twrp.

Perhaps worth a try to download LOS14.1 md5 file to check zip file integrety.

Not necessarily for working with Odin but maybe for ADB.

Why not latest one?

Don't forget to uncheck "auto reboot" and direct boot into freshly flashed TWRP.
