Hi.

I had the A2 Lite about a year and a half ago on stock ROM and I know people complained about the RAM management on the stock ROM.

I am thinking about picking up a 2nd hand one and was just wondering how is the RAM management with the latest ROM's?

Trying dirty flash all is ok..
when calling and incoming calls the dialer always uses the big speaker below, I tried to switch to the speaker above it can't.. is it a dialer bug or because of dirty flash !! I'll try to clean flash later to confirm this dialer problem, but if you have any suggestions, please share
Same issue here : (
headphones not working/not detected too...
bluetooth not working too (no sound, no calls, no music on my car)

Can someone please explain how to get this HAL3/camera business working? I've noticed that quality of photos taken is not the best. I'm using February update and stock LOS camera app. Should I use some other app instead? I don't care about fancy effects and such just trying to get full quality that hardware offers. Also no updates show up for me in in Updater (maybe becuase I modified boot partition for Magisk?).

You can enable Camera 2 API easily by installing the Camera2 API Enabler app from the Play Store. I had trouble enabling it through the build.prop so the app worked well for me.

Does this improve photo quality with stock app or do I need proprietary app?
What about the Camera HAL Switch in Settings > System? Have you used it and is this the same or different to method you describe?

On the February build, the switch doesn't work. You'd have to flash the May build or newer. But it serves the same purpose. It doesn't improve quality with the existing app afaik, but you can install GCam like this one or you can use Open Camera from the Play Store and switch in app to use Camera2 API.

I have owned this handset since beginning of '19 and still with stock rom. It worked perfectly until the upgrade to android 10 a year ago, and since then the power button often opens the camera instead of home screen, and there is some increased lag and instabilities. But still is a usable phone.

The A2 lite supports five bluetooth codecs, after enabling them in developer options, but when you select anyone of them, it immediately defaults back to the standard SBC codec. I really want to use the best sounding codec, LDAC, which it supports. Does this, or any other custom rom here, enable LDAC to be successfully used without defaulting back to SBC? Thanks...

It also depends onthe Bluetooth device you use it with. Check if the bluetooth speaker/headphones support it. Only a handful of devices support the "nicer" codecs.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS ZIP WITHOUT KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT IT IS. THIS IS NOT AN UPDATE, JUST A TEST FILE.

As requested, here is a beta of the microG version. It looks functional at first sight, should be the same as the non-microg one. Give me feedback if you try it. If it is good will release it. Download this http://transfer.sh/1UtZs3v/$RK4RW1G.zip

    Thanks

Hello XDA, I think my problem is solved. I made a fresh install again (full wipe) and used opengapps pico from today. At present, by incomming phone calls displayd this (only above wiith the red and green button. Last time, the phone app was automatily open by incomming phone calls (17.1). Is this new in 18.1?

    Best regards all

I'm on a clean install on this rom for 24h now and no bugs so far.wifi works ok, Bluetooth pairing is ok too GPS is fine. I've chosen MindTheGapps-11.0.0-arm64-20210412_124247 and everything is fine.
For the gcam the choice was DMGC_8.2.204_ver.5.0

LineageOS 18.1 is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11/R, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Known issues:
    You tell me

    Installation:
    1. Download the latest build from here
    2. Download LinkBoi00's version of TWRP here
    3. Reboot to bootloader (adb reboot bootloader)
    4. Fastboot into TWRP recovery (fastboot boot twrp*.img)
    5. Do a factory reset in TWRP
    6. Flash the latest build of Lineage OS
    7. Boot into your new phone
    Optional:
Most of us will want the basic functionality like Google Play, Maps and others, therefore I recommend downloading Gapps. You choose your own, but I recommend OpenGapps. They are among the few that can survive OTA updates. They do not yet have official R builds, but you can yet the beta ones that work fine from here.
If you do this, I recommend booting into the new LineageOS first, then reboot to recovery, do a factory reset and then only flash the gapps.

    Credits:
Lyceris-chan (most of this is possible due to him)

    LineageOS
    The wider Android community

    Ending words:
This is a follow-up to the Lineage 17.1 ROM that I was working on. You cannot just upgrade from it to this via the system updater, you have to go through the process above. As said before, this is mostly possible due to Lyceris-chan, go support him. If you have any errors or questions feel free to ask in the thread. As for official status, might happen, probably not, I don't have enough time to make the push. As for MicroG, I plan to publish a build too, keep an eye out on xda. If I failed to credit you, make yourself known.

By no means is it mandatory, I do this because I find it interesting. But it takes a lot of time and also requires me to have a powerful server, so if you could spare some change, I would be grateful.

Sorry, for leaving the rom broken and being away for so long. I had important deadlines at school and could no work on this rom. Sorry, from now on things should be much smoother, probably microg build coming in the next month.

Latest OTA is out, Bluetooth is working and it has the February security patch. Feel free to tell me you got it.
    8
I have gotten Bluetooth fixed, selinux is enforcing. Building now to see if I can get WFD foxed as well.

Depending on the results, new build with February OTA might be out today or tomorrow.
