Just flashed it. If you are not being able to install it maybe you're not choosing the correct .zip it should be ARM64 one. The exact name of the .zip is "xposed-v86-sdk23-arm64"

No, I'm using the correct file for sure.

For some reason RR blocked the system folder to "read-only", so I'm unable to flash xposed. But really thank you for the answer.

You shouldn't be thankful when I didn't even made you install Xposed successfully.

1) follow this tutorial to unlock the bootloader unofficially:

2) download twrp alka from http://xdaforums.com/redmi-note-3/how-to/guide-step-step-guide-flash-cm13-build-t3391839 and put it at sdcard.
3) download rom, gapps (6.0 arm64 pico) and radios.zip (search this zip in this thread) and put them at sdcard.
4) create a modified boot.img of the MIUI 7.1.8 with Android Image Kitchen (you have to exclude the ", verify" from the boot.img archive):

rename the "image-new.img" that you've created to "boot.img".
5) download twrp-3.0.2-2 and rename it to "recovery.img".
6) copy these two archives that you've renamed ("boot.img" and "recovery.img") to "AnF" folder of the step 1.
7) turn off your device and enter at fastboot mode. plugin it to pc.
8) execute cmd.exe.
9) type:
fastboot devices
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

10) turn off the device.
11) vol + and power to enter recovery mode.
12) go to install and flash alka twrp.
13) at alka twrp, do a nandroid backup:

14) wipe cache, dalvik, data and system.
15) flash rom and gapps.
16) wipe cache and dalvik.
17) it's done.
18) if there is some bugs, flash radios.zip with alka twrp.
