Did it and works perfectly. Thank youI used adb commands as explained in this post : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...tv-stick-lite-sheldon-p.4410297/post-87162367
Using a mouse, you'll need a usb hub. You can also do it via adb instead.Stupid question: but when you're in twrp, how to wipe, install, etc if the remote not working in twrp?
.. don't flash GAPPs?
Gapps included the tv launcher, so it's kinda necessary. Other than that, if I want to install apps for my friends and then they put their own account, I can't do that.
The TV launcher (LeanBack) is included in the ROM. It will appear regardless of whether you flash GAPPs or not.Gapps included the tv launcher, so it's kinda necessary. Other than that, if I want to install apps for my friends and then they put their own account, I can't do that.
Not what I mean. Gapps are not included in the rom, but gapps included the tv launcher..GAPPs are not included in the TV launcher. They only show up if you flash the OpenGapps package.
I updated my post. Not what I mean. Gapps are not included in the rom, but gapps included the tv launcher..
Are you sure?! When installing Gapps, on the installing process in twrp says: tvlauncher..
Yes, I'm sure, I built this ROM myself, can you try already? Are you sure?! When installing Gapps, on the installing process in twrp says: tvlauncher..
Oh, ok. I give a try. Thanks.
Sorry, didn't saw you build the rom
Ok, perfect. Now the problem is that the rom itself don't have a file manager so I can't install .apk. tried via adb but didn't work with .apk :/
What do you mean by "it didn't work with .apk"?Ok, perfect. Now the problem is that the rom itself don't have a file manager so I can't install .apk. tried via adb but didn't work with .apk :/
Problem solved: I was using the adb install on Linux without making directory, etc.
May I ask if and which games work well when having only the Fire remote as controller?
I tried to install 5-6 but all failed.
Would be fun (for me, but maybe not for kids), but why strike-trough? Does it not work?

I forgot to mention without GApps.
1- wierd, I did you check the apps instead of just the home drawer? Also sound alike a problem which was in the first release of this rom. Have you updated to the latest version?Hi everyone. So im new in this. I did all the steps and it worked. If someone can help me with my next questions.
1--- I installed some apk files and some don't show up, any way to fix this?
2--- Can i change the theme or launcher and how?
3--- Im using a remote with a dongle, the back button dont work, is that normal? It works on other devices.
Thx![]()
Using latest release and the same problem with apps I sideloaded. Apps installed through google Play show up.Hi thx for ur answers.
1- i can see the installed apps in the settings or with a other app. Its just inconvenient, i tought because this a lineage rom this wouldn't happen.
2- i looked allot of pages and didn't find it. I will look again.
3- i dont have the standard remote but i just bought one.![]()
I did it, thanks for your availability.Start your fire stick with a pc with fireISO. In Lineage OS under setting select buttons and check if advanced reboot is activate. Then go to reboot and select recovery. It will reboot in TWRP. Mount the memory, copy the zip rom file into the fire stick and flash it with twrp ( 1- adb devices 2- adb shell 3- twrp install rom.zip 4- exit 5- adb reboot)
