Been trying the latest build, overall it's quite smooth and responsive, unfortunately some apps (in my case Firefox and Read Era) keep crashing. No problems watching even long videos with VLC.

I have installed it and it's up and running now.

Seems okay so far, just wait and see how it goes.

Some notes after using this experimental version (#4) for som days.

Google Maps and YouTube have given me som trouble and had to force restart a couple of times.

Otherwise I like the performance.

Maybe I go back to the 3rd version again.

This (build below) is a slightly experimental build.

1) It removes the screen timeout delay of 30secs that got carried across from 17.1

2) The GPU kernel driver settings are slightly changed.

Really great. Thx for that!

But: I installed Tidal which isn't working. The app starts and then rotates 90 degrees counter clockwise roughly two steps per sedond. This rotation doesn't stop independent from the android settings I chose.
Same issue happen with one of your former firmware and also with some completely different custom rom complilation (luis).

I used the newest TRWP, emptied caches etc., before installing your version and the right gapps.
(At least I think I do nothing wrong.)

Do you habe an idea what I'm doing wrong?

Problem sounds like an issue with that application -> Tidal. I don't know it / use it.
Do any other applications exhibit this behaviour ? If yes - possible a hardware sensor issue ?

Hardware works fine with other apps.
Forcing screen into landscape or portrait results in endless rotating left followed by rotation to the right.

On non customs roms tidal works as expected. It's similar to Spotify.

It would be perfect if someone else could shortly check this behaviour on this rom version on their hardware it would be highly appreciated.

It's a pity ... whatever the reason is Tidal wouldn't fix it since it's work properly on 'normal' devices.
But I will contact them, let's see what they say.

Yes Tidal rotates around and around, making it un-usable. Likely it's some problem in the application itself.

I found an very good workaround by using 'bubble upnp' which allows to adress Tidal in a sufficient way.

So, thanks again for your support and this perfect lineageOS!

Probably because Tab S never had a dual SIM option.

Why ? /What are you trying to do
Running higher frequencies on GPU will lead to it running hotter and consuming battery faster. Battery drain is already higher than stock. The GPU doesn't run at one frequency anyway, it has a governor to scale up/down.
To really control it, build your own kernel.

The mali device information/settings/etc is under /sys/class/misc/mali0/device

BTW you can echo 0,1,2,3 to change governor , obviously it won't be retained after rebooting
e.g.

After flashing gapps at the beginning of Lineage setup it says "google voices stops working".
Maybe such apps keep crashing in background causing extra battery usage.
I want to monitor LineageOS 18.1 with and without gapps installed and see which apps run in background or use battery.
Any recommendations exept developers option's running services?

Google voice and gapps are a problem on more than this device rom. Voice crashes on my S9+ with Samsung stock rom.
Voice is Google's code so likely no way to fix
