Are there any messages appearing in the kernel log or android log (logcat) related to the keyboard not working?Ok, I tested other USB keyboards and they worked. However my Logitech K400+ keyboard does not work, it seems that its receiver is not recognized by the Android, I don't know why. Any solution for it?
Hello, thanks for the reply, nothing message appears, I connect the K400+ receiver and the Tablet simply does not recognize it. I installed OS 17.1 and that didn't work either. I reinstalled the official LineageOS 14.1 and it worked perfectly. Are there any messages appearing in the kernel log or android log (logcat) related to the keyboard not working?
Did Lineage17.1 work with this keyboard?
It could be that I've disabled some kernel config option that allowed it to work previously, or it might be SEpolicy stopping it.
I've disabled some kernel options to provide more free memory to reduce crashes by oom.
ATM I haven't got a USB adaptor - ordered one.

Could you try out this version for your keyboard.
I get a working keyboard (K520r & mouse)

I've updated/changed kernel code for the /hid drivers code, taken from tab S2 kernel where keyboard and mouse worked.
Sorry for asking, what do you mean by "clean install - twrp wiped"?If your getting battery drain that you think is too fast ,
have you done a clean install - twrp wiped first then install.
have you checked in logs (using ADB) for any crashing processes ?
have you turned off bluetooth if not using.
how bright your screen settings are. Screen settings on max will drain faster than a lower setting.
how old is the battery now.
Also turn off Location Services.
Are you prepared to help find possible issues ?
reading:- https://developer.android.com/topic/performance/power/battery-historian
According to Battery historian for a brief period of data collection, total discharge rate was reported at 3152mA, possible some intensive processing was happening at the time.
3150 mA results in only a 2hr 30min runtime
Another capture shows 1052mA (13%/hr) whilst just screen on and nothing intensive happening which equates to 7hr + runtime with an original optimal battery at 7900mAh
This a new update? Any updates beside the kernel for HID devices?Could you try out this version for your keyboard.

Just HID devices kernel code updated. The image can be "dirty" flashed. This a new update? Any updates beside the kernel for HID devices?
Hello all. Thanks @bluess57 for this ROM and if possible to have it compatible with T800, I would love it as I have no idea what to modify to make it work on my T800!@bluess57 thanks again for your build - i have been running it on SM-T800 and it does run better than LoS17.1. In your next build, can you make it such I can directly flash on T800 without the need to modify the install script? I think there are a few here who have installed on T800 and it works nicely. You can make it T805 and T800.
I know this is crazy, but can you add lime yellow theme (phosphoric yellow) and bright yellow theme into your next builds?
Please !!!! , Any chance to make it for SM-T800 ChagalWIFI?????And the funny thing is, that with every new Android version, the tablet is getting faster and snappier to use.
