Every time I open CPU-Z the temperature is over 45. Device feels very hot too.
I've installed this app and it shows temperatures between 28 and 46. But my device is quite cold. Even when charging it, it's not getting very warm. Hot is something else...
My question was, what are you doing that the device is getting so hot? Are you watching videos, are you playing games.... ?

I've blocked them🤣

Checking messages and listening to music most of the time. But it gets hot even when I do nothing.

BTW the weather just got cold here, so now it's around 30.

@litelinux look at that "mm-pp-daemon" process.
it runs huge time bro, you need to stop this. you can fix this via search this process in xda.
Also, please full (100) charge your phone and do your routine and let battery reachs 10 and send ss again.

mm-pp-daemon seems to be a color correction related task. Disabling it causes LiveDisplay to fail, which I turn on all the time.

But every other user also has this so it probably isn't the problem.

then; cpu freqs are need to a bit lower, also you need to enable thermal driver, core control and msm thermal via kernel manager apps.
Maybe @Berni-0815 can add Intelli Thermal Driver into kernel :)

Maybe it's the weather...
About a week ago the temperature here still reaches 29°C, and I have severe heating issues.
This week the temperature dropped to around 19°C, and the problems are gone miraculously.

When I upgraded from build 14.1 to 17 all apps and settings I used previously were downloaded and restored automatically. It didn't happen on this version. How do I do that?

Since I've installed this version myself, I can say, you can't restore any data. They are not compatible. So you have to make a clean install. Your data are lost. You should save them in other ways and then restore them manually app by app. Some apps have their own backup and restore routines, others not.

Or do I misunderstand you?

I tried that twice but there was only options to restore a backup during install, I believe.
Once you log in Google, the setup wizard asks whether you want to restore apps and data. If app data are saved, 'Google Play services' seems to restore them.
Backup and restore will be done by Google apps. I don't know if 'Google One' is needed. I have 'Google One'(not paid) installed.

Hi,
I've been using your LineageOS 18 rom for more than 2 months.
The only issue I've encountered and not mentioned here somehow is that the audio crackles, both when listening with headphones and with speakers.

For further information;
I have Audio Compatibility Patch and Viper4 Android installed via magisk. I had these on stock rom too and there was no crackling.

Did anybody else had this issue on LİneageOS18? Is it present in LineageOS18.1 builds?

Hello,

I was supposing that the performance issues are related to something about caches, so I tested the write speed: (as attachment)

Both are clean installs, latest version, /data formatted.
On this ROM the write speed is 343K/s;
while on Lineage 17.1 it is 59M/s.

Can anyone confirm?

BTW Thanks for keeping updating the ROM :)
