That depends on which ROM you're using now. If you're on los18.1 you can dirty flash.
For every other ROM nobody can give you any guarantee.
Try it and you'll know...

Definitely NO. GPS is working as expected!

That's a well known issue and we can't fix it.

There is no service menu.

The volume buttons are working as expected!

Hey, I did a complete clean reinstall, most of these are solved, getting a good GPS signal! Now if only RuneScape wouldn't lag haha. I don't really play anyways, which version was the last where there were no lags on certain apps? LineageOS 15.1?

For a dirty flash you have to delete nothing. A clean flash needs deleting of /system, /data (without internal memory) and dalvik/art cache.

Regarding some games/apps not running well or lagging, its not like the stock Sony rom is perfect either. Its been awhile but i remember some apps/games running bad on stock aswell, or just not running at all.
Hell, even on IOS devices there are things on the app store that either wont run well or run at all.

Certain apps lagging, i think is quite acceptable seeing otherwise the Z5 would be left on android 7 which would... implicate alot more going forward considering how old Nougat is by now.

I have a problem with the front camera since the last update. The button to switch from the main camera to the front camera just disappeared in the camera app (Lineageos.snap). I tried other camera apps with the same result. That's pretty weird.

This latest ROM for the Z5C is more stable and compleet than Apples latest IOS15 for my 6S. Battery drain, lagging apps, bug & glitches while browsing in safari..... and more. Yes first iteration and all, but hey its a trillion dollar company official release with vertical software/hardware integration.

A question, i tried to download and install Digial Wellbeing (a google llc app), using the playstore, but it says my device isn't supported.
Sideloading the apk, i can install it but the app never appears anywhere on the phone.

Does installing a custom rom like linegeOS18.1 enable the Z5C to run apps that require a higher android version than Nougat?

It has somewhat a function like IOS15's focus modes, hence i was intrested in Digital Wellbeing from google. It requires Android 9 as minimum, so officially the Z5C wouldnt be supported. I wonder if the playstore somehow detects it as a Z5C and assumes im running Nougat?

Im from sweden, should be the same region?

I don't know how they recognize the device, but it really seems to be.
