Hi. Having the same issue @FutureLizard205 and @powermaker450 report. It happens as soon as the screen turns off automatically after a few seconds. This is a freshly installed version with Nov 22 security patch and NikApps Core. Reinstalled to test and it happens again. What I did consciously after reflashing: set up my Google Account, installed my beloved Firefox and set the screen display brightness to auto.
Edit: also happens when using the device with screen on. It's crashes pretty regularly, also without Gapps as well as on CrDroid.
Not yet.. I'm using an Android 10 ROM at the moment and no problems there.Any idea what I can try to fix this? It seems this is affecting more users. Any luck yet @FutureLizard205 @powermaker450 ?
Nah, there are random freezes even without gapps or magisk. But lineageos 17.1 is pretty stable IMO.Hello. After much effort I successfully passed lineage-16.0-20200319-UNOFFICIAL-TB8504. I want to ask if this
LineageOS 18.1 is better, more stable without problems to pass it. Or to stay in?
Download your preferred gapps ( i preferred bitgapps bcoz occupy less space and it is magisk flashable)Guys, where do you download the Gapps from? I cant find them online... can you please help? ty
Did you have Android 8.1 installed before?Hi guys,
please help me with flashing TB8504X.
I wanted restore tablet by Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant, but even if process was done successfully, after reboot tablet was still rebooting on Lenovo boot logo (no OS is loaded).
So I decided try to flash by alternate OS, but I am unable to finish it successfully.
I tried several ROMs of lineage (16, 17.1, 18.1) and crDroid from adazem009, but still although flashing is done and tablet is rebooted - android system hangs on system boot animation (logo of Lineage or crDroid).
I was only successfull with Ubuntu Touch from adazem009 but there is problem that WiFi not works (wlan interface is not created in system). Back to droid's OS.
Hardware is working but maybe I still miss something and cannot load OS.
Steps I done:
1) installed TWRP 3.3.1 via fastboot
(tried PBRP as well, with same result)
2) wiped data, cache, dalvik and system partitions
3) rebooted back to TWRP
4) pushed up OS zip file via adb
5) reboot device
Result = OS probably is booting, I can see animation boot logo of Lineage (or crDroid) but it is all. Can't get welcome screen (or what should be there).
Result is same with every *droid OS.
Thanks a lot!
Hi Adazem,
You need to install Android 8.1 stock ROM first.Hi Adazem,
unfortunately I don't know which Android was installed before. I suppose not as it was delivered with Android 7.
As first alternate ROM I tried LineageOS 16.
I tried to install latest stock ROM with QFIL but without success, it is probably Windows only app.

Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in the products you find here before flashing it!
YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

Yes, I'm still working on it. I'm still waiting for Android 12 CAF releases targeting to msm8937. After they''re there, it should be possible to build it using the device trees from Android 11 (with a few changes). Are you still developing this project? Can Tab4 8 update to Android 12? How can I donate to you to keep this project going? Thank you, hope to hear from you soon.
