Hi @fakemanoan thanks for this amazing rom. Flashed it on my brother's SMG925F and it's working fine.

Just want to confirm that will this rom also work on SMG925W8?
Thanks!

A few posts back somebody mentioned audio problems when attempting to make voice calls.
Are these fixed now?

"- When I make a call, sometimes I have to hang up and call again 3 or 4 times in order to hear the other persons voice."

I managed to compile: https://github.com/fakemanoan/local_manifests
Upon booting it tho, the screen is black, but adb shell does still very much work. I can browse the filesystem about 5-10 seconds into boot with adb. I flashed another complete other version of lineageos zerolftexx and it booted fine. What could be the problem? (I wiped everything and formatted data before flashing)
I applied all the patches and ran lunch before compiling. I used make bacon -j12. (I have the SM-G920F)
I can still turn off the phone and go into odin mode or twrp

Hello,
looks like the multiple user feature does not work on my 9220F.
I can add another user, but if i try to start the configuration, my phone hangs and i have to restart it.
Is this a general problem or only on my phone?

Hey, really enjoying this one, but one question though:

Could it be possible to replace the "screenshot" buttom with "Clear all" ? If so, where should I look for, as i didn't find it in the settings. Swiping all the way to the left seems pretty annoying and counter intuitive in order to access the Clear all option, and therefore I would like to have in at the bottom, in place of "Screenshot".

You can try replacing the launcher with Lawnchair if you're rooted. Here's the link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/magisk-android-12-lawnchair-12-for-android-12-12l.4531621/

@ArmashOnXDA thanks for the recommendation, I hope though that this change will be implemented in Trebuchet launcher as well, as I don't plan to have lineageos rooted for the moment.

Also, @fakemanoan enabling virtual nav keys completely makes the touchscreen unusable, therefore the phone ( g925f ) too. Can't even boot into recovery from the side keys, as I can not shut down the phone, just force restart it. I guess I cant even boot into recovery from ADB as the phone will ask for confirmation and won't be able to approve.

I got that problem too yesterday while playing with settings: it seems the touchscreen is completely disabled if virtual nav keys are enabled. The only way out I found is to HW-reset the phone (push and keep pushed all four physical buttons) and then boot into recovery. I tried selectively deleting settings from the file system, but in the end I did a factory reset and started from scratch.

IMO virtual nav keys in this phone should be removed from settings, it really makes no sense to waste screen estate while the same keys are available "for real".

Other than that, really great ROM, I'm totally impressed.

@enryfox after keeping all the four buttons pressed, and phone restarting, how did you manage to enter into recovery? I tried immediately after rebooting, to keep volume up button, and all sort of combinations, but can't seem to enter into it when hard rebooting.

As soon as the screen goes blank after shutting down, lift the finger from the vol- button while keeping the other pressed and it should boot into recovery. Tried several times on mine and worked always.

thank you for this rom, its amazing.

is there a way to tell if my battery is giving up hence the fast drain or the rom itself draining my battery too much?
this battery is kind of new, got it a few months ago.

this battery is kind of new, got it a few months ago.

I have installed AccuBattery to verify the actual capacity of my battery (it is pretty old, it might be at 60% or original capacity), but indeed battery life is pretty bad, the phone barely lasts 12 hours even with screen off.

I use this old phone mostly to play with Android Auto and since installing the ROM from scratch a few days ago, I noticed Maps is a bit laggy. At first I installed this ROM on top of lineageOs 18.1 available in another thread and maps looked a lot smoother. Not sure if default CPU settings in this ROM favours battery life over performance.

thats a bummer.

btw yesterday evening when i went to sleep the battery was around 70%, ive left the battery saver and wifi toggled on (airplane mode) but the screen was off all night, when i got up this morning the battery was around 20%.

New releases for G920F and G925F models

    Changes since last release:
    - Synced with LineageOS sources (March 2023 security updates)
    - Fixed regression where bluetooth audio crackles when screen is off (core hotplugging is disabled for now)
    - Fixed VP9 video decoding in apps. We now have more quality options on YouTube. Our hardware can't do 4K60, so only 4K30
    - ZRAM settings kanged from exynos 7580 (75% of RAM is ZRAM now). This should be better for general usability
    - Thanks to enesuzun2002 releasing the BSP, we can now build HWC components from source. Shouldn't change too much for now, but its nice

    Download here:

    Enjoy!

thanks for your continued dev of this rom, and for a thorough page of info on the release notes :)
looking at the downloads, not sure which is for which device though?

    lineage-19.1-20230225-UNOFFICIAL-zeroltexx.zip ?
zerofltexx is the codename of SM-G920F (Galaxy S6 Flat) -> First one
zeroltexx is the codename of SM-G925F (Galaxy S6 Edge) -> Second one

New releases for G920F and G925F!

    Major changes since last release:
    • GPS works now
    • Fixed regression where mobile data wouldn't work (need different patches for netd/bpf for some reason)
    • HRM/SPO2 works semi-properly now due to a missing SPO2 permission (taken from universal5433).
    • ZRAM reduced to 800mb for now
    Download here:

    Enjoy!

    Note:
The GPS fix currently is patching libsensor to add back the previous createEventQueue implementation that was used in Android 11. It is more of a temporary workaround than a fix. A better implementation will come later.

Android 13 is being worked on. Look out on the XDA forums for a release in the coming weeks!

gps is working well, thank you man.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12 (S), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Based on the Exynos7420 source code.

    What's working:
    • Audio
    • Bluetooth
    • Telephony (Calls, SMS, Mobile Data)
    • WiFi/Hotspot
    • NFC
    • Camera
    • Fingerprint
    • HWC
    • GPS
    What's not working:
    • VoLTE and other proprietary Samsung stuff
    • SELinux Permissive

Anyone else NOT getting any GPS signal?

Network location works fine, but even after letting the phone in clear view of the sky for more than 30 minutes, I'll still seeing NO satellite at all (using SatStat and GPSTest).

I've found the following in logcat though:
thanks for the report and uploading a logcat. I will look into what is causing that.

Regarding the vulkan issue, not sure. I didn't do anything to break it, so not sure whats going on there. I will see what I can do.

Currently I am attempting to fix up the BSP so I can build HWC components from source. Will be nice to do that, also is kind of required to get the newer driver working.

I am redoing a lot of parts of the tree. That will take time though. That being said I will still release security update releases, and maybe if I get around to it, I will build crDroid or something. The future is bright for 7420 users!

    FAQ:
I have echo in phone calls!

Echoing in calls has been a problem for Samsung devices for a long time. Not aware of a fix, but using some old mixer_paths tweaks, the problem can be mitigated somewhat

    My banking/other apps arent working!
You need Magisk modules to pass safetynet. Some apps dont like to work if safetynet fails.

My camera wont flash properly when taking a picture
The native AOSP camera app does not properly sync the flash on a lot of Samsung devices. However, you can use third party camera applications, which do not exhibit this behaviour. GCam Go has been reported to work fine.

I have a problem not on this list!
Describe your problem in detail and steps to reproduce it. Take a logcat, kmesg, dmsg using syslog or other method and post here, or preferably an issue on GitHub. If you were able to fix the problem, please post how you were able to resolve it.
