Did a bit of statistics with AccuBattery and numbers are pretty clear; my battery is still above 80% of original capacity so it is still in the "good" category.thats a bummer.
btw yesterday evening when i went to sleep the battery was around 70%, ive left the battery saver and wifi toggled on (airplane mode) but the screen was off all night, when i got up this morning the battery was around 20%.

According to the original gsmarena tests (back in 2015/16) the S6 EDGE should have 19h talking time, 10h web browsing and 12h video playback; numbers are quite different with my S6 EDGE and LOS 19.1: with screen off and hibernated it eats 3~4% each hour; with screen on it is an impressive 36% per hour which means less than 3 hours of screen ON time.
And you can feel it too, just by reading google feeds the phone gets warm, clear indication the SOC is working heavily. Not sure if it is due to non-optimised drivers or simply the android world of 2022 is too heavy for this 2015 SOC.
What is then the last LOS to have a working HWC, LOS 17.1 ?The phone gets hot because our HWC is currently broken at the moment which mean that the GPU and the CPU are being stressed constantly even during simple tasks like scrolling in Settings. It's also one of the reasons why there is a noticeable drop in battery life in LOS 19.1 and 18.1 (cause 19.1 is made from 18.1 sources)
I'm currently testing LOS 17.1 from JoshuaDoes where HWC is supposedly working. UI seems indeed smooth, I will check battery life but first impression is that it is not better than LOS 19.1. Anyway if android auto is smoother thanks to HWC, I'm happyAndroid 10 is the last known version to have working HWC afaik. Both Lunarixus's EvX 10 and Enez's LOS 17.1 had working HWC's. After Lunarixus's departure from 7420. Only Enez was left to make trees to run A11 for the 7420...
But Enez's 18.1 trees had really ****ed configs and hacks that reallyyyyyy slowed down the performance of the 7420. Performance was never a priority for Enez, He just wanted to somehow get things working
Currently, Fakers is trying to reverse engineer the private bsp sources so that we could have a working HWC. There are also some old 7420 guys working on a treble project for the S6/Note 5 which will hopefully bring much better performance than Enez's trees
After all it's a SOC from 2015 designed for Android version 5. It can be made to run modern versions of Android, but any current entry level from samsung (say A03 or A13) running android 12/13 offers a far better experience is terms of responsiveness and smooth UI7420 is still very capable of running the latest versions of Android. It's just that no one has made any good trees after the A10 era

We are going a bit OT, so i'll be short - I can confirm LOS 17.1 has working HWC, maps in Android Auto is smooth and usable. EvX latest release is from April 2020, so it is missing 2.5 years of security fixes. Not that it matters much, but i might give it try. Not a big fan of the pixel experience, I prefer LOS as it is natively google-less and i can install only a minimal subsets of gapps.I have never tried Joshua's ROM so I can't really say for sure what's up for him but just try EvX Android 10 once. You'll get what I'm saying
Frankly speaking, if you need to play games on the S6 Edge I would not use this ROM: HWC is not fully supported and most of 2D/3D drawing is done by the CPU. Even simple operation like scrolling through pages makes the phone warm due to the heavy load on the CPU. Battery life is also not exactly great, mine last few hours with screen on and other apps running.Hi
I have an issue with Roblox game loading. Its a fresh install of ROM, no root or other apps loaded. Roblox is the first app downloaded and installed from play store. When loading app it begins to run the exits before getting to log in screen. I've wiped the phone and went to LOS 18.1 from xda and roblox loads up fine. Then wipe and go back to Los 19,again only app installed and it won't load up to log in screen.
How can I provide more info? This is a phone for my son so roblox is beyond important to him! Lol
Thanks for you Rom and work
Thank you for the info, very useful. I'll take it back to stock in that case. cheersFrankly speaking, if you need to play games on the S6 Edge I would not use this ROM: HWC is not fully supported and most of 2D/3D drawing is done by the CPU. IMO, for best performances, stock ROM is still the best, with optimised driver and cpu usage. It is android 7.0 which is slowly on its way out ...
Do not take me wrong, LOS 19.1 is a great ROM and I am amazed it runs so smooth overall, but hardware support still need improvement and that is really the hard part for any custom ROM.
zerofltexx is the codename of SM-G920F (Galaxy S6 Flat) -> First onethanks for your continued dev of this rom, and for a thorough page of info on the release notes

New releases for G920F and G925F!
Major changes since last release:
Download here:
- GPS works now
- Fixed regression where mobile data wouldn't work (need different patches for netd/bpf for some reason)
- HRM/SPO2 works semi-properly now due to a missing SPO2 permission (taken from universal5433).
- ZRAM reduced to 800mb for now
Release LineageOS 19 update for G920 and G925F · fakemanoan/LineageOS-Releases
Major changes since last release: GPS works...github.com
Enjoy!
Note:
The GPS fix currently is patching libsensor to add back the previous createEventQueue implementation that was used in Android 11. It is more of a temporary workaround than a fix. A better implementation will come later.
Android 13 is being worked on. Look out on the XDA forums for a release in the coming weeks!
ive installed the first one for my G920F, i hope this helps.thanks for your continued dev of this rom, and for a thorough page of info on the release notes

thanks for the report and uploading a logcat. I will look into what is causing that.Anyone else NOT getting any GPS signal?
Network location works fine, but even after letting the phone in clear view of the sky for more than 30 minutes, I'll still seeing NO satellite at all (using SatStat and GPSTest).
I've found the following in logcat though:
