I don't believe the build utilizes the feature the Qnovo partition is made to support, and it doesn't really need to. Do you have the USB security setting set to restrict USB connections when device is locked? Try charging it after shutting it off. Does it display the charging animation?
Back then I was testing these things. IIRC the phone was claiming to charge but it did not actually charge (which made debugging even harder). I am not 100% sure whether there was the charging animation when plugging it in while shutting it off, but I know for sure it did not charge then. I was really worried that I would not get the phone to charge before the battery was completely run out, because I lost so much time (and battery charge) thinking it would charge while it was actually still draining the battery (not while switched off, of course).

First of all, thanks for the work, Chippa_a.
I see some bugs in the ROM:
-Sometimes calls, notifications and alarm don't ring. It already happened in other previous LOS. A reboot is enough to fix it, but it happens again from time to time.
-Sometimes the Wi-Fi is blocked and there is no choice but to force a shutdown and turn it back on. When this happens, the battery gets very hot.
-Sometimes it restarts itself. I find him waiting for the SIM pin.
-GPS takes a long time to connect, even with the help of apps like GPS locker.
For the rest, the ROM works very well. I have tried several GAPPS and the ones that work best for me and give the least battery consumption are the Nikgapps.

Can someone help me with these errors please?

No, USB security restrictions are not active.

Yes, it does display the charging animation, but the LED (normally indicating charging) is off and the battery does not charge.

I also tried LineageOS 18.1, there charging works. I would really appreciate it to get it also working in LOS 19 or 20. Any suggestions I could try? Thanks!

Another thing that worries me is that when flashing the ROM it says something like "Target F5321 34.4.A.0.364" Is it mandatory to be on that firmware version?
I do it from 34.4.A.2.118, which I think is the most recent.

New build is available!

I decided to release a fresh build (intended to be final) for LineageOS-19.1 with latest changes and fixes from LineageOS, along with the improvements made in LineageOS-20 builds.

You can install the new build manually or using the built-in Updater app (requires at least TWRP 3.6.x or LineageOS Recovery).

EDIT: Replaced with version 20230605, because some changes were missed.

hi chippa I want to report the final A12 rom which apparently still has a few bugs, including:

-systemui always crashes (I include the screenshot)
-audio always turns itself off like telephone tones, sms, whatsapp, telegram and in several other applications.
-link2sd in this final rom still doesn't support ext2 partitions, is there another way to move data to the ext2/sd card partition?

for others normal and smooth.

I hope there is an improvement even though this ROM is in the final version

Hi @All,

I am quite new to flashing custom ROMs etc. First of all many thanks to Chippa_a and all who are supporting here, but I am facing some problems and maybe someone can help me.
I am just trying to flash a F5321 to this LOS19 (before I downgraded to Stock-ROM .198).

1) When I use the newiest "lineage-19.1-20230605-UNOFFICIAL-kugo.zip" installed by TWRP I end up with an boot loop.
2) If I try an older one e.g. "lineage-19.1-20220717-UNOFFICIAL-kugo.zip" most things looks good (I just tested a few minutes), but SIM-Card is not detected resp. phone-App crashes (com.android.phone) or calling any number causes a reboot.

Does anybody have a hint what else to try or how to solve it?

I suggest you to flash the stock rom again using flashtool (as you already did) and wipe everything contained in the "sid" section: apps_log, diag, persist, qnovo, ssd, userdata. Then power on the phone and make you sure it completes the first boot, until you reach the home page of the launcher. Flash the custom rom only after you completed this step.

I have tried. It's not working for me, however, maybe I am just using the wrong APP (I have tried Sony FM Radio APK and one from LineageOS).

    About LineageOS
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project, with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS GitHub organization.
And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.
You can also view the changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    • Full wipe and factory reset (recommended / backup to make sure not to loose data)
    • Flash the LineageOS ROM zip from the Recovery
    • Flash the GApps to have the Google Applications (optional)
    • Every additional zip you want to flash (optional)
    • Reboot
    LineageOS update/upgrade:
    • Download the latest build of LineageOS ROM

    • Flash the latest LineageOS ROM zip from the Recovery
    • Every additional zip you want to flash (optional)
    • Reboot
You can also update using the built-in Updater (requires at least TWRP 3.6.x or LineageOS Recovery)

    About the builds:

    Issues and reports
    • Report issues only if you are using the ROM kernel
    • If an additional mod is installed, make sure it's unrelated, and mention it
    • Make sure the issue wasn't discussed earlier in the threads
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred
(Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0
(Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)

I've tested a few GCams, I find these two work best so far:

In the Advanced Settings, make sure to change AI White Balance to "Pixel 3 XL" for best colour accuracy.

Note: For the front selfie cam to work, you'll need to disable HDR first.

Please post here if you find any other good ones!

For those who want to flash this ROM, a few comments on the whole experience. I encountered some weird problems while flashing all this being a noob at it, although I am tech savvy person.

    1. It was not very clear what tools/programs are needed for this, so after all you need
      - flashtool (flashtool-0.9.34.0-windows exe), not the same as SP flashtool
      - drivers
      - platform-tools (adb)
    2. Drivers from flashtool don't work, you need drivers from Sony website
    3. You can't flash TWRP recovery without unlocking the bootloader (flash status FAIL in ADB)
    4. To unlock the bootloader you need a code from SONY website and you unlock it with Flashtool BLU button. I was following a tutorial with ADB unlocking the bootloader and it didn't work.
    5. After unlocking the bootloader, my phone became unusable, because at boot a message will appear, asking for a password to enter android. This pass is not a pin, not blank, it is unknown. Keep that in mind.
    6. An annoying message appears at boot, saying you unlocked the bootloader and you are going in hell for it and it is for real, as you don't know the password to boot the stock rom.
    7. However at this point the TWRP flashes successfully because the bootloader is unlocked but at the same time, flashing TWRP made the phone to boot loop. Keep that in mind, you don't have a phone at this point.
    8. I decided to flash this rom because it was done with TWRP. My initial idea was to flash some other ROM because I have problems with my mobile antenna not working but at this point I had to flash something to make the phone work again.
    9. I had to transfer the rom to the phone with an SD card, which I don't usually use.
    10. Thankfully the ROM did flash with no problems from TWRP and the phone works again, mobile antenna problem is still there but it's probably a hardware problem with my device.
    11. LineageOS booted successfully and is in fact very cool. I like it a lot.
