Hi,
here you can find my version of LineageOS 19.0 for our Samsung Galaxy S3 (I9300).
At first I want to thank @rINanDO, @ChronoMonochrome for all your work and the cherry picks I made from you earlier.
This is a early ALPHA build, also from the LineageOS side, there are typical functions still missing, so don't install it if you want a completley stable and completed ROM and don't report my already listet bugs!
When you have BitGapps installed, you have to reflash them after every update!
Here you can see how far everything is working for now.
- Boot
- Audio
- Bluetooth
- Graphics
- Cameras
- Sensors
- Wifi
- GPS
- USB
- Video playback (HW/SW)
- Tethering via USB
- RIL
- OTA-Updates
- Tethering via WIFI and Bluetooth
- much more...
- Random reboots
Video recording- NFC
- SD-Card can't be formatted as internal storage, this will cause a bootloop
If you are going to use BitGapps,You could use a gps.conf from https://app.box.com/s/w57s1v1n3hie7l5lk28i for your location and replace /vendor/etc/gps.conf.
Or you try GPS Server Optimizer app for a faster 3D fix.
For both methods you need root rights.
here you can download them:
BitGapps, arm, 12
For the others, you can use microG in future.
Do you like my work?
Than you can simply hit the thanks button and consider to spend me a coffee or a beer,
I'm doing this in my free time and it also costs a lot of money to buy hardware.
donate

I've tried this for sure, but it doesn't work and there are nearly no compatible apps what I see.Just a shame that the FM radio is not included in the build that would really be perfect for the phone.
Thanks for replying to my comment, thanks for trying to get the radio to work. Still think your work is great to keep a old phone alive. I will use an online radio app. Once again thank you.I've tried this for sure, but it doesn't work and there are nearly no compatible apps what I see.
No,
that's known,Hello, the multi-window button and the back button do not light up.
?
Great work anyway to contact
Exactly, this problem still exists.EDIT: Reboot from twrp to system doesnt work. When u get stuck you have to reboot with power button
It would be nice to see it running on the LTE version of the SGS3, too (GT-I9305, SCH-R530M). May I ask in which country you live, because if the shipping isn't too expensive I could donate devices.I'm sorry, I don't own this devices, someone would have to donate it.
There's already an alpha build for the i9305 from me, but somehow the latest repo sync destroyed RIL, I have to find problem first. It would be nice to see it running on the LTE version of the SGS3, too (GT-I9305, SCH-R530M). May I ask in which country you live, because if the shipping isn't too expensive I could donate devices.
I'm sorry, encryption doesn't work as it should, it starts to encrypt, but can't access the internal storage afterwards.Hi all. This runs really well; props to @html6405, seriously!
Is encryption working? (For internal storage, I mean).
If I go to: Security > Encryption and credentials > Encrypt phone
...there's the usual message:
But I can't see a button to actually encrypt the 'phone(?)
Am I looking in the wrong place, or is it not implemented yet?
(Apologies if this has been discussed already)
If you really need a magisk module, use thatThank you very much for this wonderful project!
Ehy guys, i can't install microg with magisk manager. How can i download the module? I try to download the zip module but in magisk appear an error "try to unzip file fail"
Download that zip. What file i have to download? The bin file is not recognized from magisk, the zip file create an errore ( unzip fail)
Yes. I see. Via browser doesn't download a zip file but a bin file. I used fennec and it downloaded a valid zip.Thank you. After download file, magisk can't unzip the file(unzip error)
Use the version of micro g prior to the current release and install. Then it should work. That's what i didThank you! I have installed microg and play store, but play store don't work
