And what do you need the official release of linege os for?
Officially they are made the same way as the one here just annotated with the official badge
The current developer of this ROM really does this ROM very well and has already fixed most of the problems
Off subject, this is not my question, please stop trolling bro.

First of all, the newest build is working pretty well. I was rebooting several times now but no crashes so far. Older builds have had that problem.

The only thing is that I am not able to wipe /system within the recovery however flashing went well without doing so.

Also why are you asking why the ROM isn't official? Please look up to see what it takes to become a official maintainer of a device. You should be grateful OP is putting so much work in it to make a decent ROM for this device.

Thanks OP for this wonderful ROM.

First time flashing custom rom for a phone, took me quite some time but I got there. Thanks to OP and plarfman!
Anyway I just came here to say that since I didn't know how to get the right firmware version I just winged it and updated to the last one, which was RealmeUI 3 C.11 I believe, and everything seems to work well for now.

Is it forbidden to ask a question ?
I see, no it's not forbidden to ask questions but you're just being rude here. I guess that's how these forums here work these days.

If you knew how the rom community works you would know that most devices are maintained by one person, even when they're "officially" supported.

I could also say the same and say it is my opinion but oh well it's still kinda mean from you to tell me to "stop talking". It would be much more appreciated from you to just ignore the ROM if you're unhappy and don't wanna install it. If it bothers you so much why don't you try to build something better?

Do you remember my initial question?
First of all I am not a dude but whatever.

If you would pick up the thread correctly you would know that it wasn't me who asked me why you need an official ROM.

And yeah you are correct about being grateful. It's your decision however I think it's natural to appeciate someone for their work especially if one can't do better themselfs.

I wouldn't say I'm intolerant. But you know your tone isn't the best and you really show that off by using slurs and trying to trigger me in an certain way. Having an opinion is one thing but showing no respect and being all vulgar is another.

Nevertheless since you're telling me sexual stuff I am going to report your post. :)

EDIT: Thanks moderator!

Right now there is no way to use TWRP because the internal storage can't be read properly when it comes to A12.

I remember first time trying to get into the recovery was quite a pain. I tried several times the fastboot reboot recovery command and eventually it worked after numerous attempts.

Right now the only to me known way to get into the recovery is through the advanced reboot option after LineageOS was installed.

Maybe someone else has a tip on how to enter it with hardware buttons.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 12L, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit the Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Code:

    * Your warranty is void.
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war,
    * or you getting fired because the alarm app failed.
    * Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included
    * in the products you find here before flashing it!
    * YOU are choosing to make these modifications.
    */

    Instructions:
    • Unlock the bootloader with the guide mentioned later in this post
    • Ensure the device is running the RealmeUI 3 C.11 Firmware
    • Flash the included LineageOS recovery and vbmeta using fastboot
    • Reboot to recovery mode
    • Wipe system, data and cache
    • Flash the ROM and the Gapps
    • Reboot and enjoy!
