I don't think this is the latest.
With LOS 14.1 PGO works but is very laggy hence the reason for wanting Kitkat.

Because the performance of this ROM is outstanding.
LOS is one incarnation of android. If LOS14 is laggy for you it does not mean that android N is laggy per se. Switching to another incarnation of android N, e.g. Dirty Unicorns, Slim, AOSP may be a better way than switching to older base versions, e.g. Android M or L.
First I want to thank you grzwolf for sharing your personal i9100 build. Before I was running Lanchon 4.4 CM build (2016-01) for some months because marshmallow was too lagy for our old phone.
Then, now I use your build for more that a week and I don't have anything negative to say about it. It's stable, battery is the same as before and it's more secure.

That having "latest lineage code" is not the same as having "latest android version".
Both Google and Lineage are still supporting kitkat.
And "intrinsic differences" between newer and this older android version, I don't see why LOS should act with separate policies here then.
Ie, by design it still shouldn't be rooted as far as I know.
Thanks for this rom, you've resurrected my first Android device. I cut down the rom to the bare minimum and have it booting straight to Google play music (using target home launcher) with minimal access to system settings to create a media player for my son, works a dream.

The cm-11.0 branch of the smdk4412 kernel sources does not contain drivers for f2fs.
Check yourself https://github.com/LineageOS/android_kernel_samsung_smdk4412/tree/cm-11.0/fs.
Cyanogenmod introduced f2fs while working on cm-13.0.

This ROM has nothing to do with encryption.

But i already fix it in few steps:
1) clear install nougat rom
2) insert differrent pin and agree to "request pin from startup"
3) go in twrp, Dont enter pin!!!(with default pin twrp decrypted data independently, but we changed him )
4) wipe encrypted data from menu
5) flash you rom
6) profit!

55i9100 LineageOS 11.0 - ABANDONED
LineageOS (as well as CM did until December 2016) still maintains the cm11.0 / 4.4.4 sources to keep pace with 'The Android Security Bulletin' (ASB).

Patches for CVE security issues are released at least once a month to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) repository.
Patches for Android 4.4.4 are not provided by ASB anymore.
This means, security wise Android 4.4.4 is formally dead.
Nevertheless there are a few enthusiasts, still backporting security patches from recent Android versions to 4.4.4.
You should know, such backports are no formal ASB security patches.
Therefore the security patch level of this ROM is named: Unofficial Security Backport "December 2019".
Despite of implementing these security patches by the LineageOS team to its own repository https://github.com/LineageOS, LineageOS does not provide cm11 builds anymore.
Since I personally like 4.4.4. more than later versions, I build it myself unofficially and would like to share it.
The build is made from LineageOS "Branch: cm-11.0" PLUS ASB security patches, even if they are not yet approved by LineageOS.
The main goal of this ROM is to provide up to date builds in terms of ASB security patches, not development.
