Whoa whoa whoa buddy. Let's slow down and get terminology right so I can properly help.

TWRP is a recovery. It's what you use to install stuff. Kernel is a zimage or boot.img file which controls hardware/software interactions

Which are you having issues with? And root? I thought root worked since last release. I'll take another look today

hey guys, a bit of a status update and some explanations to the pm's i've received for ALL of my projects

1) I am not dead
2) My projects aren't dead

I've been battling school and then sickness and hospitalizations for the past one month. it's been so difficult for me to do anything, let alone stare at a computer and debug files.

please hang on for a bit longer as i am trying to stabilize myself in terms of my health and my school work. thank you guys so much :)

The terminology was perfect! You should have replied to enable root on the Rom you have to go to developer options - root access and enable apps, By default its disabled.

I am well aware of how a kernel, rom and radio works. Not my first rodeo. Thanks anyway

To be fair mate this was the question you originally posted :

" No root after installing this ROM. Kernel installed is TWRP. No other kernel seems to work"

So. I would agree your terminology was wrong but hey...you knew what you meant and you've got it working now.

Cheers

I eliminated the kernel as the issue which was very clear, which means this was a ROM base issue. This issue has been resolved for future people who wish to download the unofficial port.

No problem thanks anyway for the help and good luck panada with any future updates.
