1.cm12.1 21 august has problems in my j500f ..it doesn't reboot or shutdown properly well it does reboots and shuts down when phone is started but after some time mostly if i do some works(app) it doesn't shutdown or reboots it just stuck like in the pic help...and if i flash another kernel (heavily moded) then it works so can u fix this i have tried 2 times flashing the ROM and its the same and its fresh no apps or xposed installed...if u want the log tell me how to get it...
2. do u recommend using DMPKern For Galaxy J5, Heavily modded by DJ_Steve
3 does phone gets more faster meaning performance flashing it
4 does phone gets less battery in that ROM
5 bro when will u update the j500f i need that GHz...
answer with numbers or different line so can understand better
Commits from DMPKern have been merged on our CM sources in kernel. From the next update you will have OC/Governors/ioschedulers. I have also made some corrections on those commits.
Just be patient guys. I have a life too, and I do not get any profit from what I'm doing here, so I have to work all day in my main job, and work for J5 in the rest hours which is clearly exhausting..

Overclocked to 1,9Ghz, she is rock solid stable. But can i overclock it even further?
Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...nel-dmpkern-galaxy-j5-heavily-modded-t3445305, and download the kernel, and you will have a oc till 2,07 GHz; I have it and I did not have any kind of problems, except for the fact that xposed module datausage and network speed does not Works; any other xposed module such as MinMinGuard, AdBlocker, Android N-ify, does not have any problems. :)
Or you can wait for Nick Verse to include the mods to next rom :)

In the latest version there is no nav bar and kernel control. Dont know if you (@Nick Verse) removed it on purpose.
When you delete a feature,simply is not functioning as it should be,or brings problems of not knowing how to use it. Everything is for the better guys.

It is always advisable to use the kernel that comes by default in the rom. Nick made modifications especially for your custom rom. We are all free to use what they want,but then there may be errors. If it was decided to put the default kernel to 1.8 Mhz and then it is the best for this rom. That way you test the rom and if you find problems, help nick to solve it. But if modified may not.

Has anyone tested Screen Mirroring to a TV (aka wfd service, or Wi-Fi Direct)? It can be done with a SmartTV.
I'm going to leave that feature if it is not working. It is not supported in stock ROM too.

I've tested on mine with third party app, candy find devices with rom built app.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong

PS: it's a Samsung smart tv

Yeah! That's what we need. Both J5 and TV must have wifi enabled. You must enable wifi display in settings too. But we don't have wfdservice in system/bin, neither a kernel implementation for it.
I have an error in logcat too when enabling/disabling display, that must be from this feature.
Code:
E/qdutils (  271): int qdutils::getHDMINode(): Failed to open fb node 2
E/qdutils ( 271): int qdutils::getHDMINode(): Failed to find HDMI node
Currently if you check /sys/class/graphics you will see fb0 which is the main display buffer and fb1 which is the writeback panel. fb2 is missing, which is the dtv panel implementation in kernel.
But as I see in stock build.prop there are these lines for WFD service:
Code:
#property to enable user to access Google WFD settings
persist.debug.wfd.enable=1
#propery to enable VDS WFD solution
persist.hwc.enable_vds=1
The most important part is that if the display HAL waits for a missing fb node, delays and lags may occur, which in my opinion, is our display on/off delay problem..

So, to sum up, I guess these last lines are a null pointer to just have the props without the implementation in ROM.
I'm just downloading an A5 stock ROM, and port the missing files and kernel implementations if I can. If not, I will leave it disabled.

Yo yo Nick, how you doing?

When will you upload the most recent version for F model?
I know that you work and it's tired for you but it is a bit boring for me to know that there's a new build but i cannot use it.

Hi Chip. I haven't built anything newer for others yet. I have to build from scratch, and each ROM takes 7 hours! I'm working on some things. Don't be bored. It is for good.

Yo again.

I hope you're kidding...
Why would you have to do that if It's the same device?
Like.. Can't you just "port" It?
I don't think that build It from scratch is the best way to do It.. Well, at least not the most eficient
