I couldn't get FreeGee to work with newest version and patch for vs980. Turns out ro.product.model in build.prop was wrong. It was set to simply G2, when it should be model specific. In my case it needed to be "VS980 4G".

Its probably because its one ROM, then you use the individual patch for your device. I guess he could incorporate different build prop lines eventually to change that stuff per device. But its kind of minor at this point. I thought on the stock LG ROM it said LG-VS980? Thats what I've been changing various build prop lines to.

Is anyone else having issues with muting the game Banana Kong? My media and phone volume are set to silent but the game still blasts music. I also tried setting the volume tile to silent in the quick settings. No luck

Just curious. The n4,5,7, g pad and s4 have the 2/9 update. Only the g2 hasn't gotten the update. This is not an eta question or when will it be here but but I'm just curious if we will be getting the update as well

It's finished, I gave it to moose to upload to the server, had an issue where settings would FC on the G2 but its fixed now

not yet but I am going to talk to the mahdi team to get that working with the G2, I think I just need to update the overlay and submit it to them

Sounds great mate!
Incredible ROM here!
I think this has been the longest time I've spent on a nonstock ROM!

Ended up with only 6 hrs and a half screen time. But with an hr of music and an hr of Pandora on lte with Gps on. Since I had to drive. Still a great run.

I've never updated this ROM before. Is it necessary to flash patch and su again as well?

Awesome update. Everything is running very smooth. No change in regards to the bug with certain games not registering touches (can't interact at all) such as Pitfall.

it's still the smoothest rom yet and I love the customizations.

I am not responsible for bricked devices,
thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

I choose to reopen the Mahdi thread since Mahdi-Rom is now Euphoria for Android L . This is the unofficial version maintained by me, however I am part of the Euphoria Team. Please do not ask which version is better, use whichever you like and do not debate it in either thread. My builds are based on the stock G2 L kernel rather than CM's kernel.

    Installation instructions

Installing Euphoria-OS for the first time, or coming from another ROM:

    Upgrading from an earlier version:

    Kernel Source: https://github.com/dr87/G2-L-KERNEL
    ROM OS Version: 5.1.x Lollipop
    Based On: AOSP

    Version Information
    Status: Beta
    Current Stable Version: 1.1
Here are custom TWRPs I built with a working hotplug and thermal control. They do not run all cores online and maxed as TWRP does right now. The recovery should stay cool and not burn up like the current G2 TWRP.

These are based on the 4.4.2 kernel and a JDI version exists (included in downloads folder)

Brightness settings work, and persist on reboot

Also, Double tap to wake is enabled ;)

    Don't flash this if -

    1. You don't know if your device needs a JDI version or not
    2. Don't know how to restore a recovery if something goes wrong

Version - These will be kept up to date when TWRP uploads the source.

    TWRP Downloads

Flash in your current recovery. Triple check what variant you downloaded.

Credits for TWRP go to Dees_Troy

Edit: If you downloaded before this edit, please re-download. I fixed a device model error that prevented the flashing of roms that used device restrictions.
Sorry for the inactivity, I've been busy but I agree that I should have stopped by to let everyone know and I apologize for that

As most people have seen Mahdi development itself (the Rom in general) has slowed a lot and is mainly bug fixes now. Kitkat is coming to an end soon, Mahdi-Rom will be continued in android L :good:

We will get an update today for the G2 with the changes that have been made since 8-17

I apologize again for not keeping you guys updated, the support everyone has given for this rom since G2 release has been great :good:
Final build (2.9) is released for the Nexus 5

I will officially release this build for the G2 today, it will be the last Mahdi build for all devices until the Mahdi development picks up again by the team with the new android version.

I may release another build for bug fixes if there is something I can fix that effects all variants (specific G2 issues) but Mahdi feature development will be finished for kitkat.

Thanks everyone for supporting the rom for almost a year!
7-18 will be uploaded today, strongly recommended clean flash

Synced with the latest Mahdi and on a new mahdi caf branch that better supports our kernel
