Pretty sure I saw a few posts back that he was going to talk to the Mahdi team to see if they would add the g2 to the OTA updater

Move it to System/Priv-Apps. In PowerAmp you also have to select MusicFX in PowerAmp, under Settings/Audio/Advanced Tweaks. Then in the player screen hit Tone/Volume control and tick the MusicFx switch. Me personally I have to plug in my headphones, start music, stop music, unplug them for it to process everywhere in normal mode. On every reboot. It works in compatible mode without doing that, but doesn't process on YouTube or anything but music apps. So normal is better. Any other questions go to this thread since its slightly off topic. http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2456073 I will say with GoneMad player you don't have to do all this, processes fine from the start. But the UI isn't very pretty.

Has anyone figured how to do the hold lock ring torch? I saw some one mention gravity box but this ROM is so full of excellent features I don't want to have a conflict. I'm loving this ROM so far. Thank you.

.....this is KitKat. Come on now

It is pretty obvious, with all the news going around, that he means with the 4.4.2 official LG changes around. Such as the kernel and SOD fixes. They are just building off of 4.4.2 AOSP and going based of 4.2 LG ROM. But since 4.4.2 is out, it COULD fix all of the random reboots or SOD, especially for VS980. Come on now.

Forgive my ignorance on that hasty comment, a more specific detailed question with valid points such as yours should only be asked in a dev forum....

To spin off your points, again valid, i have yet to experience a sod issue, reboots that weren't user implemented or any gps issues others are mentioning. I believe these are device specific issues.

It's mostly, if not all, the VZW version, VS980. But this new official update could fix that all many other small problems.

dr87 has stated that the 4.4.2 OTA will likely fix the SOD issues, but it will require a Loki update as LG made some changes there. We need to wait for someone to crack that first.

Does anyone else use FreeGee to update their recovery? The device model on this ROM is "g2" and FreeGee doesn't work because of that.

Edit: Fixed it myself. Got android model changer off the playstore and changed the first three values to "LG-VS980" and it works just fine now.

Weird that you had to do that. I have vs980 and flashed recovery no problem and used freegee

Yes I have had issues with that as well.

The model is just "g2" on this ROM regardless of the actual model.

I will try that "model changer" app as well but I'm not sure what the original value of my phone model would have been.

It is the D803 so I'll try LG-D803

That's due to the unified build...

-VZW LG G2 VS980

I understand that but there are model specific patches as well. I'd think those patches could handle the model changes as well.

Anyway, very minor issue really since this is the most stable ROM I've ever run!

Can't thank dr87 enough for making my G2 usable, customizable, and smooth.

I choose to reopen the Mahdi thread since Mahdi-Rom is now Euphoria for Android L . This is the unofficial version maintained by me, however I am part of the Euphoria Team. Please do not ask which version is better, use whichever you like and do not debate it in either thread. My builds are based on the stock G2 L kernel rather than CM's kernel.

    - Flash Euphoria-OS zip from SDCard
    - Flash GApps zip from SDCard
    - Flash SuperSU for root (will add this in later)
    - Reboot
    - Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!

    Upgrading from an earlier version:
    - Copy the ROM ZIP to your SDCard

Here are custom TWRPs I built with a working hotplug and thermal control. They do not run all cores online and maxed as TWRP does right now. The recovery should stay cool and not burn up like the current G2 TWRP.

These are based on the 4.4.2 kernel and a JDI version exists (included in downloads folder)

Brightness settings work, and persist on reboot

Also, Double tap to wake is enabled ;)

    Don't flash this if -

    1. You don't know if your device needs a JDI version or not
    2. Don't know how to restore a recovery if something goes wrong

Version 2.7.1.0 - These will be kept up to date when TWRP uploads the source.

    TWRP Downloads

Flash in your current recovery. Triple check what variant you downloaded.

Credits for TWRP go to Dees_Troy

Edit: If you downloaded before this edit, please re-download. I fixed a device model error that prevented the flashing of roms that used device restrictions.

Sorry for the inactivity, I've been busy but I agree that I should have stopped by to let everyone know and I apologize for that

As most people have seen Mahdi development itself (the Rom in general) has slowed a lot and is mainly bug fixes now. Kitkat is coming to an end soon, Mahdi-Rom will be continued in android L :good:

We will get an update today for the G2 with the changes that have been made since 8-17

I apologize again for not keeping you guys updated, the support everyone has given for this rom since G2 release has been great :good:

Final build (2.9) is released for the Nexus 5

I will officially release this build for the G2 today, it will be the last Mahdi build for all devices until the Mahdi development picks up again by the team with the new android version.

I may release another build for bug fixes if there is something I can fix that effects all variants (specific G2 issues) but Mahdi feature development will be finished for kitkat.

Thanks everyone for supporting the rom for almost a year!

7-18 will be uploaded today, strongly recommended clean flash

Synced with the latest Mahdi and on a new mahdi caf branch that better supports our kernel
