I know this isn't spectacular battery like 8hrs screen time, but with the easy I use my phone this is excellent for me. And with the default kernel and settings to boot. Plus a full day with no app crashes or SOD.
Thank you for this excellent ROM!

Hi, aftert o try all Stock Roms i decided to install this one and seems to be flawless already installed and works like a charm.

Btw im having an issue with Titanium backup. when i start up this app it takes for a long time in the screen that is asking for root acces.
i already wipe cache, dalvik and also wipe cache and data from the app.
In the other hand i dont want to restore any apps i just want to desintall some apps that i dont used.

Which kernel version is? V5?

Thanks for this Rom. Awesome!

Guys i have this wierd problem with the frames per second suddenly dropping that i am almost able to count them throught the ui
Scrolling pages opening settings
Everything is slow somehow :s
I think this has something to do with the temperature of the phone when it gets a little bit high not much
I restored apps with titanium backup pro
And installed xposed with some modules
enabled halo and now i face this wierd problem of slowness :s

Did you happen to install a tweaked Google keyboard that's what caused those sort of issues foe me. I'm running just about all the tweaks offered in this ROM and I haven't had any degredation in speed. Except when i tried to install the 5 row Google keyboard and secondly trying the new blacked out Facebook made my device fitted and then eventually it restated.

Thanks for this :D
This maybe makes my decision easier to flash Mahdi, i've read so many good reviews of this ROM and i really thinking about to flash it. And you said that you didnt have any freezes which sounds pretty promosing to me.

Nothing negative you can report? I mean, if there's something small, i dont really care, but i mean if some important apps are crashing or something like this. Thanks in advice.

Any G2 ROM will produce the same battery life +/- mins. It's all anecdotal and it depends how you use the phone. G2 has spectacular battery life, but the main difference is that people complaining about weak battery life has processing draining the battery life or bad hardware (unlikely), and the people with great screen shots of battery life are just having ideal scenarios for great battery life.

As with any battery life comparison, it needs to be controlled. Anecdotal is useless.

Oh yeah sure, i really dont care about batterylife, because everyone's using their phone in a different way :) I'm not even jealous when i see a guy with 6hrs SOT and 40+ hrs usage, because it doesnt say anything, i can reach such numbers easily, aynways, the main thing i focus on is the stabilty and performance. I really miss CM/AOSP rom's,but i already used some (PA, CM11..) and the only negative "feature" was the camera, but actually i didnt use the camera that much so i will give AOSP a shot again but looking for a good one and i've read that mahdi is a good candidate :)

This ROM is near perfect! As far as the camera goes, it's extremely stable (unlike CM), I'm using PA Stock GApps w/Photosphere (It actually works). If you haven't flashed by now, DO IT! Good Luck.

wow very impressive. what kernel are you running? any special settings or tips for achieving that kind of battery life?

Nothing special, NFC disable, auto-brigh, stock kernel of the rom, -uv 50m. I don´t play game, only used the phone to whatsupp, twitter, tapatalk, only all social used.

Hope can help... any more information only ask:good:

do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM

I choose to reopen the Mahdi thread since Mahdi-Rom is now Euphoria for Android L . This is the unofficial version maintained by me, however I am part of the Euphoria Team. Please do not ask which version is better, use whichever you like and do not debate it in either thread. My builds are based on the stock G2 L kernel rather than CM's kernel.

    - Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!

    Upgrading from an earlier version:

Here are custom TWRPs I built with a working hotplug and thermal control. They do not run all cores online and maxed as TWRP does right now. The recovery should stay cool and not burn up like the current G2 TWRP.

These are based on the 4.4.2 kernel and a JDI version exists (included in downloads folder)

Brightness settings work, and persist on reboot

Also, Double tap to wake is enabled ;)

    Don't flash this if -

    1. You don't know if your device needs a JDI version or not
    2. Don't know how to restore a recovery if something goes wrong

Version 2.7.1.0 - These will be kept up to date when TWRP uploads the source.

    TWRP Downloads

Flash in your current recovery. Triple check what variant you downloaded.

Credits for TWRP go to Dees_Troy

Edit: If you downloaded before this edit, please re-download. I fixed a device model error that prevented the flashing of roms that used device restrictions.

Sorry for the inactivity, I've been busy but I agree that I should have stopped by to let everyone know and I apologize for that

As most people have seen Mahdi development itself (the Rom in general) has slowed a lot and is mainly bug fixes now. Kitkat is coming to an end soon, Mahdi-Rom will be continued in android L :good:

We will get an update today for the G2 with the changes that have been made since 8-17

I apologize again for not keeping you guys updated, the support everyone has given for this rom since G2 release has been great :good:
    102
Final build (2.9) is released for the Nexus 5

I will officially release this build for the G2 today, it will be the last Mahdi build for all devices until the Mahdi development picks up again by the team with the new android version.

I may release another build for bug fixes if there is something I can fix that effects all variants (specific G2 issues) but Mahdi feature development will be finished for kitkat.

Thanks everyone for supporting the rom for almost a year!

7-18 will be uploaded today, strongly recommended clean flash

Synced with the latest Mahdi and on a new mahdi caf branch that better supports our kernel
