Same problem, it worried me for a second, as I was dumb and didn't do an efs backup . I flashed back to stock and everything worked again, I made an EFS backup this time. Can you clarify what you mean by flash the modem md8? Like where do you get it? Thanks!

I can't understand about i777. i777's RIL also use i9100 and other SGS2 GSM models, They don't have any problems to use Call and SMS.

How about to use i777's JB Modem?

Maybe It will work.

Please flash i777's lastest JB Modem... :/

Alright thanks, I will give it a try when I get better internet. Just glad my phone still works and I was able to make an efs backup!

If your device's baseband show unknown and IMEI is unknown, you can restore it.

flashed back to stock and flashed the rom from recovery instead of flashing zimage with odin first and its all good! just to clear stuff up, you just copy over the /efs/ folder with a root browser to make an efs backup or do you need to use dd to make a img of the partition? Thanks!

Ah sorry. CyanogenMod removed their Busybox system.

Maybe you need to use Bank gapps.

Managed to fix it by flashing a cwm kernel and flash cm 13 and then without rebooting flash opengapps.

OK. Thanks! CM recovery is good for normal users that don't use recovery other for updating and factory reseting, but its a bit limited for power users that need to backup and restore and flash unsigned zips with openrecoveryscript

To clarify my previous post you can't flash the official i9100 twrp.img with odin. I meant if you have a broken recovery like that you can flash an odin flashable kernel then from that flash another non-isorec kernel with a newer twrp like cyrils omni kernel.

Theeeen, from that flash the i9100 3.0.2-1 twrp.img and the makeover zip. Now you have a working isorec twrp in the recovery partition. Flash the rom.
