yes, I wouldn't be able to run it if I didn't

edit: can I use the recovery you posted before like fota recovery? because fota recovery works, you only must have recovery built with 3.10 kernel otherwise you have no display.
Yes , you can use it as FOTA recovery , but it doesn't works in this kernel , it will just boot to black screen instead.
It works flawlessly with cm 12.1 kernel

yeah, and I thought that it's because 3.10 kernel uses different display driver, so it should be ok if you compiled this recovery on 3.10 kernel (headers). Or am I wrong?

Hello guys, just one small question
If i flash this rom via twrp fota recovery will i lose my recovery?
no, you will not, but all recoveries that work with old (3.4) kernel does not work with the new one (3.10) present in this rom. So you can boot into recovery but you have black screen (though everything except for the screen is working, just you can't see what happens)

@SuperLamic this means i will still have my working recovery but i wont be able to see anything right?
If so can i blindly use the recovery to flash other roms?

heh :D if you think so. But yes, you can.

but a better solution is use fastboot to boot another kernel with recovery (fastboot boot boot.img) - it boots the kernel only once, so you can do whatever you want in recovery and then again boot 3.10 kernel

@SuperLamic but which kernel do you recommend?
If i boot some other kernel i can enter the recovery mode. And should i flash back 3.10 kernel before booting into system of after?
Feeling little confused..?

Personally I'm using stock advanced kernel by sharonliu that comes with twrp built in. If you use fastboot boot boot.img it's only one time bootup with this kernel - that means that if you boot up second time it will use your regular (flashed) kernel. So no, there is no need to flash something after that. Just don't use fastboot flash boot boot.img, use only fastboot boot boot.img.

I hope that you've used fastboot ever before, because I can imagine that you may be confused if you don't know what I'm talking about.

There is no such thing as one time bootup. Whether you use fastboot boot boot.img or a simple reboot, your system will always boot 1 kernel that sits in your boot partition. So, if someone wants to use recovery on marshmallows, they need to flash 3.4 kernel first (which means that your 3.10 kernel will be overridden), then boot into recovery, use it for whatever reason they need, and then return to 3.10 by flashing it in fastboot. In other words, after you are done using recovery, you need to reboot in fastboot and flash 3.10 kernel: fastboot flash boot boot.img.

@Luncer what do you mean bro? Instal it via external SD card yes. But via internal no because you need to wipe everything before installing. So you can install via external SD card.
Thanks bro
But i mean can i use this rom while i use sd card.?
Not how to install
Do you have sd card in your phone
