From my knowledge they are missing some files (nothing to make it not work however) but if they work for you that's great.
They are really working, yes. I'm also trying the sony-, qcom- and nxp-repos from SuperBenevolent, but they doesn't make things so much better...

Also yes, the Lineage repo is a pain a lot of it doesn't work with the Z5 series, especially the kernel.
That's the reason, why I'm not using their kernel stuff! ;)

But slowly they are working on it
I saw it. My rom built today is working again. But as there are no imrovements, I'm not publishing it. The biggest thing is making phone calls over bluetooth work; there is only garbage noise to hear. Hearing music over bluetooth on the other hand works very good; much better than with stock rom... :D

I suspect that all of the audio problems are related -- call volume, speakerphone volume, and routing calls over bluetooth; all require special interaction with the baseband controller.

But yeah, I agree that working Bluetooth phone calls is the most important missing/non-functional feature at the moment.

I've just tested Berni's version (thanks a lot for that!) with regards to the call echo that some people have been reporting.

On my phone, the echo is still there, unfortunately. It appears to be the same as with CTXz's version: the voice quality on my side is great, but the other side hears a strong echo.

Which rom? This 13 or 14.1? 13 works good. Except the known issues...
Nice :fingers-crossed:
Thanks for the answer
I dont wanna go without Xperia stock rom André features but sometimes my z5c get very laggy
I'm on mm, i have many apps installed and i know thats the reason, but a moto x2 with a 801 GPU is much more smooth than z5c

Every LineageOS rom is a development one. If you choose to use one of them, you're doing it at your own risk! There are known issues, some things are not working! And you have to unlock your bootloader too... With all known disadvantages.

My z5c is sometimes laggy too using stock rom. But it is never unusable...

Just to give my 2 cents as comment on the latest CM13 rom version:

The latest rom 13 from Berni with lineageos appears to be working the best. Had terrible call echo in the latest CM13 rom and the rom itself felt "laggy", but this lineage rom appears to be in good working shape :)

I recently got myself this xperia z5c where my previous phone was a xperia z3c. However I do miss some features which i really liked with my CM13 on my z3c , mainly if i press my volume up or down i had the option to select an "do not disturb" feature for an adjustable amount of time and there was an option to quick unlock the screen after entering my pincode (don't need to press the Ok button after correct pin code).
Also the fingerprint sensor fails or doesn't seem to have this option availably in this rom version ...

For the rest the rom seems to be pretty descent and usable ...

Don't get me wrong, just wanted to mention the features i used on my previous phone and which i miss in the newer rom versions of this phone

I also installed the cm14.1 rom which seems to be verry promissing. It only misses some features like wifi which makes the rom not usefull for daily usage so i went back to the 13 roms

---------- Post added at 04:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:30 PM ----------

Is there by the way a newer rom version than the lineage_13_0_20170104_UNOFFICIAL_suzuran ??

Hi, I need (want ;)) to recompile my kernel with some additional things (full cgroup stuff / whatever's needed for lxc). I'm fine with Linux itself, but I am a bit lost when it comes to Android... Could someone post the kernel config that is used for this rom?
I admit I am too stupid to find it myself. Thanks! :D

I'm working on it... It's not that easy...
No improvements, sorry. Everything is working, except fm-radio, fingerprint sensor and voice-calls over bluetooth (and maybe some other things I've never tested or missed). And there is an echo on the other caller-side. With that I can live...
But voice-calls over bluetooth is something I really need. But I have no idea where to search.
If anyone can give me a concrete hint... ;)

Hi,
I test this rom and I can't recording video:
my camera crashed with error " can't connect ... "

Secondly, it's for the echo on the other caller-side

there are issues for this ? Or dévelopments are closed and it's better to try lineage 14 for this phone ?

With which version? Because, I can record videos...

That's known. I have no idea how to fix it, sorry.

LineageOS is on base of 6.0.1. Since Nougat is out, there are some people trying to build a working rom on nougat base. By now, wlan isn't working. Please have a look at their thread.

I'm actually playing around with 13.0 and trying to use a selfmade vendor-tree like it is used at LinageOS for sumire (Z5).
I got this rom built but there is no SIM card detected and wlan is not working.
If someone could give me a hint (for SIM card detecting)...

CyanogenMod 13 for the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact E5823 and E5803

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    Before you start

This ROM is only for the E5823 and the E5803

    Code:
     *
     * Your warranty may be voided !
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     *

Ok before you guys think I'm dead, I'm not. I've just been busy like always. I've spend the majority of free time on C++ practice and turns out debian got corrupted, so I'm finally here again with Arch (Ima post a screenshot of my new flashy high-tek hacker desktop soon). Now this doesn't mean I'll just Straight into Z5C development. I've got some work to do with my Galaxy tab s2 and now that my friends Xperia X arrived (cool phone guys, gj sony), i'll get my S5 mini back and will run some Security patch updates for CM. Then we can start talking about the Z5C again. The next issue will be keeping track of Upstream again :/

Okay, i'm gonna give you a sneak peak on what you can expect in the next release

    - Full brightness
    - Double Tap 2 Wake
    - USB gadgets support
    - Better core performance

The reason why I haven't released it yet is due to a small misunderstanding about Sony's sensor related commits, meaning i've accidentally disabled the sensors. Tough a new build is coming today so no panic
