Moving to new android that have many problems and bugs without having the previous working 10/10 seems really stupid for me :/

Well, the only thing that bugs me now is Snapchat video recording that fails to start, but I tried numerous workarounds to that and they didn't work, so i gave up on that. Maybe I'll try again someday. About other variants of J5 I had plans to build these, but that will have to wait as I have exams soon 
A5 port camera is better no offence to this dev but this ROM has better battery life
Well AFAIK that ported ROM is using MM camera blobs, so it has to be better for sure. We would need some driver updates in our sources
I never encrypt my phone, so I can't really tell you. You can always try and report your results here.

In the meantime you may flash a Wifi Direct & Screen mirroring fix from #2. Tested it with Samsung Smart TV and it seemed to work flawlessly. Funny how much mess can one missing config line make. Change on github is here if some developers would need it.

I can already tell u the results in a sm-j500fn: it reboots to start encryption but it gets stuck in boot logo, it doesnt even get to the encrypt screen. When rebooted again to regain access to the phone, it gets stuck in a boot loop and the only solution is a complete wipe via odin and reflash. i tried with the first boot of the phone, waiting b4 for about 20 minutes. then i had to restore via odin and tried again with the root option activated,, reflashing with odin each tiome tor estore the phone. Oh and with and without the usb debugging enabled.

Yes. Sending files over WiFi Direct should work as well.
Then we are probably missing something to make it work at the moment.
When I tried wifi-direct, the system crashed. I will try to dig into the logcat, but my knowledge are not so good...
Well, it connects here but it seems Linage 13.0 doesn't have an option to share files over WiFi Direct lol. It connects successfully to Galaxy A5 2017 though. I'll have to look into it. Also the crash you mention seems to be cause by Network Speed Indicator xposed module you're using.
#Edit: You need to use external app to send files over WiFi Direct. Unfortunately Lineage 13.0 doesn't have a feature allowing you to do that natively. Connection works, but gives us nothing actually without an app to utilize it :v

Maybe its a lineage bug and we cant really do much about it, but i would have loved to encrypt it, your rom is the best one around for my needs, great battery, great cam, fluid, hotplug....it has everything!
Do u mean just managing cpu speeds or overclocking?
If u mean cpu speeds, there are loads of apps in play store, i personally like setcpu but i dont know if it supports hotplug from this rom.
