Look at lineage 16-17.1, or crdroid 6.18 or lightningfastrom. This is old and it doesn't work well

I plan to update or flash my tablet, I was seduced by a video from Youtube on this wonderful site, I plan to flash or update my Samsung Galxy Tab 4 SMt-530 with version 5.2.0 or update it, like I do that and up to which version can I update.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Download a smaller version, like pico or nano. Missing Google apps can be installed later.

when i in the TWRP Recovery Menu with Install, etc, and i would like to flash the Android to 7.1 have i an Erorr Code 20, must i the to install the latest version from LinageOS.

Is it final that the Sim Card (mobile network) won't funcion? Or maybe there's something else to do in order to get the modem working that I am missing?

I had never touched a custom rom until last week. But I recently a found a few SM-T531 tablets completely abandoned at work and so I was giving it a try.

I did find a way to get from kitkat 4.4.2 to lollipop 5.0.2 via Samfirm. Then I was able to flash Twrp 3.6.0 via Odin... and finally installing the ROM's via Twrp... I have gotten this far...

Regarding the for the modem / sim card / 3g functionality, has there been any success? I have been reading these forums and, found a few references, but it was not conclusive.

Well, I tried from here: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=315992. System is running well, except it doesn't detect the sim card, no mobile network.

I would like to know if anyone has gotten the sim card to be detected, on this T531 Matisse 3g Model, running Lineage or other custom roms?

Because I did quick searches on a few threads - by Matteo, sub77 and now DJABHipHop - that cover many years of development, and I did not find a single confirmation of somebody having the sim card detected, and being able to make and receive phone calls, sms, get mobile network running.

Maybe the majority doesn't care for the sim card funcionalities? Or maybe it's such a simple solution that nobody comments? Or maybe it's because of my Brazilian carrier specs not being implemented?

I don't know.

But if anyone confirms that it can work, I would be willing to test other builds or workarounds.
